Golf Peaks is a great use of the idea of golf, with rule modifications that make it less a score-conscious sports simulation and instead an amazing puzzle game. I had a great time with it for the few hours that it took to get through all the puzzles, enjoying the challenge and calming ambience of it all. It’s an excellent idea, executed well, and it was a joy to play it on the go while sitting at a bar or something. You don’t have to be a golf fan to enjoy Golf Peaks, and the puzzles are engaging up through the end.

Golf Peaks isn’t that far removed from actual golf, given that people always rave about how great the sport is for being calm and zen and whatnot. While I can’t speak to that, never having been anywhere more than a mini-putt place, I can confirm that Golf Peaks is just as good for getting you into a zen puzzle zone, too.

Golf Peaks supplies several hours of engaging brain twists that are both fun and relaxing to take part in. Its simplistic design and wonderful control scheme makes it a perfect match for the Nintendo Switch's "on-the-go" philosophy.

Golf Peaks is a gem of a puzzle game. Everything — its controls, presentation, and premise — indicates simplicity, but the ingenious puzzles won't let you breeze through this. It's an addictive enough title because of this, and while this is light on content, its relaxing nature means you won't mind too much. If you need a game that acts as a nice break from the longer and more stressful titles on the system, Golf Peaks is it.

Golf Peaks is small in stature, easy to grasp, and quite elegant in design — so in essence, it’s the perfect puzzle game to play on the Switch, and it’s one that I recommend without hesitation.

Looking for a change of pace or an escape from the stress of the rat race? Then Golf Peaks can provide you with a brief respite from the daily grind.

An ingenious and relaxing twist to the concept of golf. Cards, good minimalist art and a great soundtrack, could you ask for more?

Golf Peaks is not a "golf" game per-se, but a great puzzle game that takes the principal of basic physics to create an addictive and relaxing experience for gaming "on-the-go".

I enjoyed Golf Peaks from start to finish. It’s a fun, light game that’s perfectly suited for portable play on the Switch, but is equally engaging in docked mode where it’s easy to have some others help solve the puzzles.

Golf Peaks is a calm, de-stressing game that makes you plan ahead but also does not punish you for making the wrong move. It is suitable for all ages, encourages creative thinking, and is also relaxing to play. You can easily finish the game in one sitting if you wish, but you can also put it down and easily pick it back up later. While the game is on the shorter side, it is also enough fun and challenge to satisfy for a short period of time.

Golf Peaks is a stylish and satisfying puzzler that takes the sport of golf and gives it an interesting twist helping it stand out in an already crowded genre. Sure it’s a little on the short side but it also means Golf Peaks never outstays its welcome. A golfing experience that’s more birdie than double bogie.

Golf Peaks is a great little experience for a couple of hours, think of it as like a movie or book you read, enjoy and maybe pick up another time in the future. Once you've nailed the mechanics of the game (which they introduce so well), you'll breeze through the game in no time at all. A great chill out game.

Golf Peaks is an excellent bite-sized puzzle game for the Switch. It was a nice, serene, and challenging way to wind down and after playing through it, I’ll be keeping eye for new stylish puzzle games from this developer as they clearly understand how to make these things fun.

$5 for a solid puzzle game with an interesting spin on golf is hardly what I'd call a bad deal. Unless you simply do not enjoy puzzle games, you're bound to have some degree of fun with Golf Peaks. Being a fan of golf will help, but anyone with a penchant for working through various puzzles will have a good time here.

Golf Peaks is an interesting mix of puzzle-solving and golfing. The card playing mechanic is entertaining and adds a good challenge. It doesn't take very long to complete every level, but it's a nice journey.

Although Golf Peaks could have benefited from there being more content included, it's still a solid puzzler that is more than worth the cost of admission. Its delightful presentation, calming presence and pick-up appeal make it perfect to take on the go.

Golf Peaks doesn’t exactly turn the puzzle genre on its head, but it does offer a plenty relaxed gameplay experience. A perfectly passable puzzler that’s good to pick up in short bursts.

Golf Peaks is a relaxing puzzle with a lot of variety. In its levels shows good and responsive game mechanics, fine art direction and well-paced minimalistic music, but fails in longevity due to excessive tutorial-like content.

Golf Peaks is the very same game which came out on any mobile phone store back in 2018. Without any new addition, Afterburn's puzzle game still delivers quite a dozen of pleasant challenges, thanks to its Joy-Con or touchscreen controls. Unfortunately, the game's difficulty remains unchanged, and those golf puzzles will be done in no time, leaving the player wanting for way much more.

While Nintendo Switch has yet to get a proper, full-fat golfing sim to its name yet (come on The Golf Club, get your act together), it does have a handful of fun and rewarding alternatives to tee off on. Golf Peaks is one such memorable trip down the fairway, taking that classic pastime and infusing it with an isometric puzzler that's as fun and engaging as it was on mobile. Much like the original, this Switch port's only real letdown is the fact it's simply over too quickly. Let's hope Golf Peaks 2 is on the cards one day.

Golf Peaks isn’t going to stand out on the Switch. It’s well made, clean, and the minimalism is appealing, but it’s also somewhat limited and hard to sit down to for long periods. But jumping on a train for a short trip, or waiting for friends to get organised for a game of Mario Kart? Well those off minutes can easily be filled with some Golf Peaks action.

If it weren't for its reliance on trial and error, Golf Peaks would be a top-notch puzzle game but it's still definitely worth checking out.

The puzzles are well-crafted, and the game is so relaxing to play that I don’t want to stop. In mobile form, knocking out a few holes seems like a great way to unwind after work, especially when you only have one hand free on the subway.

Nice chilled puzzler. You know a game is good when the only complaint is that you want more of it.
