Mar 23, 2018Gekido is a great jump into the classic beat'em'up genre. It's truly playable, it has local multiplayer, it has great retro visuals and cool music... and it's CHEAP. So... what are you waiting for? :)
EDIT: About gameplay, the game's mechanics aren't boring, thanks to a dose of platforming, exploration, and extra modes... it's a remaster, yes, but a very good one. -
Mar 22, 2018I really love this game , a very brand new beat em up, this one adds elements like power-ups and the ability to explore different routes,
it also has some great music and cut-scenes and boss fights are though guys !
The kind of game that doesn't let you mess up too much, if you love the genre , you have to play it -
Mar 22, 2018I loved Gekido and I love it much more now !
the new features are amazing, music and new modes are stunning !
Co-op is brand new and it’s one of the ways this version shines.
Co-op is a good time, even with the steep difficulty. It’s like a coin-munching arcade game
I can't be happier than that , also new graphic is a state of the art of animation -

Sep 1, 2021A mediocre brawler, i wouldn't waste my money on this. Get double dragon or streets of rage instead.

Dec 2, 2019Gekido Kintaro’s Revenge is a very simple beat-em-up which probably didn’t warrant a physical release on Switch. Unfair gameplay, unsatisfying visuals and sloppy proofing work mean this is one to miss.

Apr 15, 2018Gekido Kintaro's Revenge is a game that will delight fans of "me against the neighborhood", as well as those players who are looking for a challenging and different game within the genre. It’s also tremendously entertaining to play cooperatively with a friend.

Mar 30, 2018It may be a mediocre brawler of its time, but it does have a certain energy to it, and the light adventuring elements do make it unique from anything else of its ilk. The bonus dungeon mode is the real main attraction and playing with a friend makes things more interesting. Kintaro's Revenge can only be recommended, though, to gamers who understand that this is a port of a Game Boy Advance title that has not had much done to its presentation.
