    Loading times take forever, lot game crashes. Some cars are nightmare to play due to horrible handling, you will be rewinding dozen of times only to get through one curve. Opponent cars all have weight of a tank and will send you flying if you even touch them. Boring level design. Same garage as in previuos game. Only few customisation options for cars if any. Nice feature with dailyLoading times take forever, lot game crashes. Some cars are nightmare to play due to horrible handling, you will be rewinding dozen of times only to get through one curve.     Overall, this is a decent racing game on the Switch platform. If you are into games like Forza Horizon (that is, relaxed, sightseeing driving without launching bombs or having to drift all the time), this is your dish.

    The graphics is not the best. The engine seems like a port from previous editions (Gear.club True Racing on iOS/Android; Gear.club Unlimited on Switch), the trees rocks    Overall, this is a decent racing game on the Switch platform. If you are into games like Forza Horizon (that is, relaxed, sightseeing driving without launching bombs or having to drift all the time), this is your dish.

    The graphics is not the best. The engine seems like a port from previous editions (Gear.club True Racing on iOS/Android; Gear.club Unlimited on Switch), the trees rocks are of low definition. However, this does not affect game experience in a serious way. When you start driving, you pay less attention to details like those. There are even scenes with fog, dust etc., which is a nice surprise. In general, the game gives you a decently immersive feel.

    The fleet is impressive, and the car models are detailed and polished. Story is stereotypical but with moments of amusement (one of the bosses is a funny windbag…). The learning curve is fine—basically you will have to turn on manual gas and fully disable braking assistance if you want to win rank C or D events. Completing the story gives me 40+ hours of quality time, and then there are still interesting challenges to take.

    My major complaints are these. First, driving mechanics is not accurate; the game 'invents' a new physics instead of approximating real physics (and this is so regardless of the level of driving assistance). This makes normal corners (level 3-6 as in a rally race) very easy. Seeing this, the developer adds tons of narrow corners and hairpin turns to the circuits, but these are incredibly difficult under the game's own physics. (For reference, I am not an expert but a devout amateur. I can beat highly experienced drivatars in Forza Horizon 4, and I usually ranked top 25% in time-attacks in Real Racing 3.) Over time, this becomes very annoying, and the races lose their charm.

    Second, the AI is built in a simplistic way, and your opponents are made challenging only because, well, THEY CHEAT. With the same Performance Index you will see your opponents usually not as smart as yourself but occasionally go incredibly fast (as in they don't lose speed at all when turning around a hairpin), especially when they are out of your sight. The result is that you feel you are not racing against respectable, experienced drivers but a pack of sorry cheaters. Besides, the AI is aggressive and will make extra efforts to block you, even if this means they will be slowed down, too. This becomes a huge problem when you have to start as the last in the queue and the 6th bumps you like crazy while the 1st (a cheater, of course) vanishes from your sight in no time.

    Since this game is not really open-world (no free roaming option), winning the races is still the only thing to do in the game. The problems I list above therefore seriously compromise the pleasure the game could have brought. Once I finish the story, I don't feel like going back to it.

    That said, I see great potentials in the series, and I wish there will be a better-made sequel.    … Expand

    Compare to 1st episode, you can appreciate the enhanced graphics.
    i like the numerous and branded cars.
    Races are longers too
    Keep waiting for a real multiplayer mode, not asychronus

    This is a poor looking game with a poor frame rate and long load times for EVERYTHING. We need a quality racing game on switch that isn't Mario kart but this game isn't it. Even at 50% off I'd say skip it. Eventually we will get a passable racing game on the switch.

    Es una experiencia de conducción válida y correcta para Switch, ya que no hay mucho donde elegir. El juego se ha ido actualizando con alguna reducción en tiempos de carga y alguna mejora gráfica.

    Over a year after release we finally have the finished product (certainly close and we'll polished).
    Why the decision to release as an early beta version is beyond me, it's done untold damage to the games reputation, but now we have an excellent arcadey realistic cross of vehicle racing.

So I began the game again, bought all the cars, and as the competition against the 2 last virtual opponents was made easier, I could get their car, too - but the game crashed again, at about 50 000 000 credits owned and spent, as in the previous crash, so not a sole progress was done by the developers, even after my warnings.
    I am myself a simply confirmed apprentice in computers and data management - not an engineer, and simple considerations let see why there can be such an error:
    First, the game size was reduced from about 6 Go to about 3 Go, since the first opus, and we are astonished by the loading times...
    Secondly, the player data are of 34 Mo, as announced in backups on server.
    But 50 000 000 credits need: 50 * 2^10 * 2^10 bits, so 2^26; but 34 Mo make 34*(2^10)^2 - finally, the required credits compared to the available bits are: 50/34 : the available bits shall be increased by 1.48, in order not-to give a fatal error, and I count all this only about the virtual credits wallet, not including their linked bought parts...
    Their computers engineers do not even know how to calculate in bits... I do not know what they learnt in their studies.
    The French-speaking tests on this game rate this one at about "7/10" - so we see that this is far, far too much over-rated, just because a French studio is involved in it (as it appears), but they did not their test completely, either.
    -The synchrone on-line game was supposed to be available, but was to come "soon" for 6 months. They sold a game unfinished, from all the aspects.
    -It appears that some DownLoadable Contents are available now, including "Porsche edition"; first: as I expected, the free first content doesn't even instal, since my player data are over-saturated. Secondly, I hate Porsche and their 1920's design; no reason to dedicate a DLC to a sole brand mark. We are still waiting for truly manageable integral motorisation Lamborghinis.
    -The "amount of customisations" is only an illusion, since you have to buy the previous parts in order to get the ulterior one, and the stickers section is absolutely useless for driving - (moreover, it works badly, as if you go on the other side of the car, and that the sticker is not proposed in symmetry).

    I warn everybody who has his reason against to buy this game.    … Expand

    actually has unlockables and music and can be played offline, unlike Project Cars and Gran Turismo Sport. Awesome selection of cars, tho I wish they had Volkswagen. If you loved PS2/PS3 Gran Turismos, pre-2012 NFS, this is the game for you.

    Now, listen. I'm assessing a game in 2020 and there has been a huge improvement. And I mean it. Playing this game is fun, loading times are fine, no input lag, handling is very responsive, it has its own car physics that you have to get used to, but other than that, man. I really appreciate that game now. It's very fun and I'm giving it 10/10 because, once you get used to it, it's justNow, listen. I'm assessing a game in 2020 and there has been a huge improvement. I really appreciate that game now. It's very fun and I'm giving it 10/10 because, once you get used to it, it's just great. There's nothing I would change there. The driving physics is awkward, between a simulation and arcade, but once you master that, there's nothing more satistying than drifts and taking over in this game. I'm surprised to be saying that, but I love it. Attention: don't ever buy the first one. The gap between those two is HUGE.… Expand

    Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a fun game. It is an arcade racer with some upgrading/cosmetic enhancements included. This is not a simulation racer by any means. I think people might be thinking that going in and giving it a poor score. While there is nothing that particularly stands out as special about the game it is a solid racer from start to finish.     This game was horrible at launch. Unlimited loading times, terrible fps, horrendous car handling...
    Today we have a not so bad and yet not that good racing game.
    Graphics are not bad yet it could way better since we're talking about a console exclusive I'd expect hecking more than this. Car handling is fine now.
    In other words, I honestly don't reccommend this game. Buy GRID instead.

    Depois de algumas atualizações o jogo melhorou e teve bastante conteúdos novos , pena que não colocaram a opção de replay e nem poder visualizar o carro quando olha para trás .

    I liked the first game more. In Gear Club 2 the tracks are not varied at all. Even you face the same corners time by time. Racing is really boring and controls are not good also

    Considering the current lack of realistic looking racing games on Switch, Gear Club Unlimited 2 does manage to stand out. Whilst the load times are problematic, the core driving gameplay is surprisingly enjoyable and for that reason alone is worth considering.

    It could be worse, I guess. Gear.Club Unlimited 2 could’ve suffered from the same fate as Asphalt Injection and been grind-heavy and ugly. Instead, you’ve got a game that’s just grind-heavy and boring. It works, which is nice, but with these load times, working feels like the least the game should do. The best games have some kind of exciting spark to them, and that’s one thing Gear.Club Unlimited 2 completely lacks.

    While Gear.Club Unlimited 2 seems to have a bit more to offer compared to its first Nintendo Switch release, unfortunately it is still lacking in the excitement department that other racing games have. There were not a lot of cars to choose from, the races felt slightly repetitive, and the long loading times were brutal. On the other hand, Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is decent on its own and can be exciting for new racers. However, if you want something more stimulating and comparable to previous racing game experiences, you may want to wait until a more cohesive and complete game is released.
