Jul 30, 2019If you're new to metroidvanias such as myself, this game is a delight! Many different mechanics can keep the game sweet. It's short as it seems but the little worlds you see are fun! Palettes are fun just like from another devolver game downwell.

Aug 15, 2020Cute little game for what it's worth.
It feels like a cheap Metroidvania, but I enjoyed my time with it. The filters were interesting to unlock, especially considering the game is only black and white otherwise.
Maybe one day I'll boot it up again, but nothing to write home about.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 28, 2020If you go into Gato Roboto expecting the transportive, sprawling, otherworldly joys of Samus Aran's best, you may be disappointed. But if you want a fierce, high-contrast, bite-sized treat, you're in the right place! [Issue #41 – September 2019, p. 21]

Jul 14, 2019Gata Roboto is not a Metroidvania from another world: it does not really do anything wrong, but it does not really do many new things either. The big star in this game is the cat, that apparently is a very capable and cuddly replacement for Samus.

Jul 8, 2019Gato Roboto has some wonderful aesthetic choices and innovative boss fights, but the awfully short length and generic enemy design hamper an otherwise quirky title.
