    I feel like a bunch of ten year old's are giving this game terrible reviews because it's Fortnite and "Minecraft good Fortnite bad." It's not a very good game, but you don't have to review bomb it because of it. I personally don't like battle royale, as you spend most of the game just walking around. Fortnite tries to be original, but in the process takes ideas, mechanics, weapons, andI feel like a bunch of ten year old's are giving this game terrible reviews because it's Fortnite and "Minecraft good Fortnite bad." It's not a very good game, but you don't have to review bomb it because of it. I personally don't like battle royale, as you spend most of the game just walking around. Fortnite tries to be original, but in the process takes ideas, mechanics, weapons, and cosmetics from other games. Some emotes are literally just taken from Team Fortress Two, a handful of skins look very similar to Overwatch skins, and so on. It's hard to get into this game because of the community, most players know the ins and outs of the mechanics, making it hard to do anything. Building is the thing that makes Fortnite stand out, but also kills it for me. You try to take a single shot at someone and they just build a five star hotel in front of your eyes. Vehicles feel like the cars from GTAV, but where those are fun to drive, these are just super stiff. I can see why people like this game, but I don't.… Expand

    **** terrible, it’s too repetitive, it’s literally the same thing every time with the only change being that they add stupid **** I would rather play Evolve, Lawbreakers, Ride to Hell, and Big Rig Racing for 5 hours each if it meant that Fortnite could be deleted forever

    Tried to get into this game after all the hype and just do not get it. Awful design, repetitive, boring and don't get me started on the micro transactions.

    Its a real shame that with all the quality games out there this trash is what young gamers want to play.

If the BR is interesting at first, it quickly becomes boring because of small snags like the SBMM or the Loots almost the same, a season 3 on the edge of goufre brief ... The creative who looks better on paper, but who slows down at the entrance or when you go to a map on switch, the game is really not very well worn,I repeat my opinion On Fortnite which is in my opinion deplorable ...     As someone new to the game I can say it's certainly fun, specially with friends. The mechanics are simple and if you like this kind of games, it can be addicting. But it has A LOT of issues, particularly this switch port

    2. There is no sense of Real progression, yes you do level up once in a while but it doesn't change or affect anything else, making it just an indicator of the number of hours played. The exp curve is so that at first you level up pretty quickly but eventually you gain less and less exp.
    3. You are paired with players of any skill level so you can end up with elite players who smack you the moment you land on the map.
    4. The building mechanic does not add much to game play and gets in the way of the shooting very often. At the beginning it is also rather confusing and unintuitive
    5. Now the switch port. .. Oh boy, set at a nominal 30fps which you only actually get while running with no other players onscreen. Most of the time it sits at 15 - 25 so it becomes really choppy and laggy to the point of being unplayable during intense fights. So unstable that sprites get stuck midair or while running, making combat really unfair because you cant really follow enemy movement nor aim properly or even dodge fire. Also lighting and shadows are not really optimised.
    I constantly have the low signal icon pop up even though I am next to my router.
    As I said before, the main menú is just a total mess as 90% of the options on there are for microtransactions.

    Now some of the positives: it's free, has cross play, you dont need Nintendo online and you can play on switch on the go.
    To sum up, it's a fairly fun free game albeit repetitive after a while. And terribly optimised for Switch, if you have any other option to play it, do it because this port is catastrophic.    … Expand

    EPIC doesn't care about it's playerbase or anything but money. They scrapped paragon, and now they've scrapped save the world. Don't waste your money buying any of their games - it likely will never be finished, and they will let the playerbase slowly dwindle and die.

    I bot a nintendo switch to play fortnite and wasnt disapointed. First of all the graphics are amazing. Second of all and second of all the game fits pop culture in very well. I saw travis scott and literally bought his skin as soon as I could. I may be white but I support travis and BLM.     Looking at the game objectively I think it's hard to deny that Fortnite offers good value. It's free and has multiple game modes (the most popular being Battle Royale as solo players or in teams), allows for custom game modes and is constantly being updated with new content.

    From a technical standpoint I think it looks fine on Switch and I give them credit for having a lot of settings you can tweak (including gyro aim which I really like). However, the poor Nintendo Switch can't really handle the more demanding parts of the game (intense battles between multiple players with lots of destruction for example) which will result in framerate dips below 30fps and can really hinder your ability to play properly.
    Another issue I have is how cheap the main menu looks and how much the game spams you with awful looking items it wants you to buy (for real money!). I get that they have to monetize the game but this is basically the equivalent of pop-up ads.

    A more subjective problem I have with this game is its core gameplay:
    I really don't care much for the movement and the weapons in this game. Compare this to Apex Legends and the difference is night and day. Whereas Apex feels fluid and powerful Fortnite feels slow and like playing with toys (weapons lack punch).
    And then there's the building aspect of Fortnite. As you all propably know you can mine ressources and use them to build structures which can provide protection as well as giving you a positional advantage. Now this is obviously just my personal opinion but I really dislike this aspect of the game. I'd much rather have a smartly designed map that allows for smart positioning and provides sufficient cover.
    And finally I'm very torn on the items that you can loot during gameplay. Items come and go but some are just weird. For example you can loot a fishing rod that you than use to fish for items in lakes or rivers. This just seems so stupid to me. There is so much stuff like this that has nothing to do with actually battling other players and are just there to make you waste your time.

    In the end I understand that a lot of people apparently really enjoy Fortnites gameplay loop. And admittedly it's propably the best battle royale shooter on Switch right now and at the end of the day it works and it's free. But it definitely isn't for me.    … Expand

    Fun but dont play in switch if you can avoid it. 1100 ping is not fun (that's the max number that will register on the switch) 30fps also bad. Best part is that everyone on switch is a bot.

    It's a well made game it's funny i really enjoy playng fortnite, it's one of my favourite videogames.
    But when i start to play the game starts to get annoying i can't even move around when this happens,
    and how much does it weighs?

    I work for my local McDonald's restaurant and people kept asking for the fortnite burger until I got curious as to what fortnite is, this game is good but I kept dying to these people building the White House constantly so I gave up.

    This **** took me too much time, could've spent this precious time grinding celeste. Worst decision of my life. Bad framerates and even worse controls. I gave it a one instead of zero because the amount of money i spent on Fortnite. Please die Fortnite. You don't deserve your title.

    Regardless of what anyone says, this game became a phenomenon for a reason. It was an amazing game. I say "was" because skill based match making, AI bots, and a map that's too large and hilly have almost ruined the game. I also have to ding the Switch version for poor performance.

    I just played it twice and then it was clear: Overhyped. Just an online shooting game. Splatoon is so much better and makes so much more fun. This game is just boring. The concept is too simple. Find weapons, gather together, kill everybody, restart. Yawn! Also the graphic is not really nice. This game can be easy ignored!

    There is so much hype over this game but really, I think that is pointless.This game is so repetitive and is the only game able to bore me after only a few days of playing.If you don’t have the battle pass the game become even more boring with only 2 challenges a day.I don’t recommend this game to anyone except for the 8 year olds who would find this fun.

    Today, it's a shell of what it once was. Skins don't load on other players, it can't run big team modes without a few frame-drops, etc. But it wasn't always like this, and it has been worse. Back in S4, it ran as good as any other version, with the only downside being it caps at 30 frames. Everything loaded fine, never drops frames, it was a great way to introduce Nintendo-only users to the game.

    But then, the getaway update was this port's first step into the grave. This was when skins started to not load, leading to a buildup of false toxicity in the community about fake-defaults. I know it did for me. By season 6, the fine wire the port was balancing on had snapped, and the downwards spiral began.

    Buildings weren't loading their physics in for sometimes minutes after you landed, meaning basically the newer your system, the quicker you'd get loot inside. The game would freeze mid-combat, and they thought it was a good idea to make switch players fight against XBOX and PS4 players. The following is some reasons why that was absolutely stupid.

    1. Back then (and maybe still now), aim assist worked based on your frames. The more frames, the better aim assist worked. PS4/XBOX runs at 60 fps, Switch runs at 30... you get me?

    2. Because of reason #1, big team modes would of been impossible to play vs the other consoles, as between 40-100 (depending if you're playing 50v50 or Team Rumble/The dance-off mode I don't know the name of) building in the same, very small area would cause frequent frame-drops on switch, meaning aim assist would be worse, not to mention it would be harder to comprehend anything that was happening. Of course, the other players would have no problem.

    3. Buildings not loading their physics was never an issue on the other consoles, so yet another advantage for them.

    4. PS4 HAS A MOUSE/KEYBOARD CONTROLLER.

    Switch players had to deal with this idea from the start of season 6 to around the 8.10 update during season 8, where we instead matched with mobile players. Ironically, switch players complain about the auto-fire mobile has, but think of it this way: would you rather fight against auto-fire and very bad controls, or overall superior consoles with non of the bugs switch faces and has double the framerate, meaning better aim assist, easier looting, and less lag in build battles on their end? If anything, mobile players should be complaining.

    By the start of season 9, the whole buildings not loading thing was fixed.

    Now, 19 days away from the end of season 9, how is the game now? All I can say, is that it's half as good as it was at S4, and half of the perfect rating this port would've got from me, is 5/10.    … Expand

    Si bien me gusta fortnite en PC, no puedo decir lo mismo de la version de Switch... Si tienes solo una switch y quieres jugarlo, ¡adelante! seguro que lo pasaras genial, pero para alguien que tiene la posibilidad de jugarlo en pc como yo, creo que las cosas se podrian haber hecho mejor.

Espero que epic algun dia deje la opcion para moverle los graficos en consola, probablemente de esta manera la experiencia seria mejor.

    Por otro lado, el gyroscopio fue una buena implementacion, sin embargo, creo que deberia de haber una opcion para que este se active solo al apuntar con el arma y no que este todo el tiempo activo, ya que a la larga se vuelve incomodo y limita al jugador a tener que jugar en una sola posicion.    … Expand

    This game is bad. The gameplay is okay and very repetitive. It is just an average shooter game. There is pretty much no story or music. The multiplayer aspect is cool, you can play with your friends and talk to them in game. If you talk to random people that get matched up with you’ll probably end up with a 5 year old screaming into his $2 mic.

    Fortnite is not a bad game but it's only a Battle Royal on Switch. It is worth downloading if you just got a Switch considering its free but its not a game that I would see myself playing for hours when there are hundreds of other amazing games on the Switch!

    I have to say that it doesn't look very well because sometimes I think even on a Mobile Phone this Game looks better then the switch Version. Also the Controls aren't that great. Yes it's free to play but if you don't have any other console or an medium powered PC then you better don't try it. It's not worth the hassle.

What some people need to know before buying the game and leaving a bad review Fortnite is a "battle royale" game meaning it has over 100 people battle with many weapons, you can customize your character with skins or dances and even emoji's i personally enjoy the game and love the style, and NO fortnite is not violent or bloody, now my review of this game so far (i started playing back in §4 and it's hard for your first moment, now the bad thing about the game is the toxicity, many gamer are very dumb and don't understand this is a game for TEENS and somehow some adults just constantly swear or even be toxic towards children, the game it's self is fun, but i would love if less annoying people were in the game, i recommend you muting them or reporting them epic is very nice by giving us those features.. but don't get me started with the hackers though, some people hack in the game and use aimbot a computer generated targeting assistance that helps get more accuracy, and it's very rare case but epic games a big deal out of it, but there are still some hackers out there, also the battle pass, this minor feature is a big part of the game, you can level up and earn free prizes by playing, but you need to buy a better battle pass if you want skins and extra stuff like wraps, vbucks (a virtual currency you can use to buy tiers, battle pass, skins and pickaxes, building is very useful in the game as well, and that's what i hate, the building makes it unique in a way..but i see it gives more difficulty in the game and it seems a little weird, also it's kinda hard to get mats when there is 2 people trying to snipe or shoot you apart from that the game is pretty good and i'm excited for season 8… Expand

    I would not like to make this long so, I'd just like to say that this game was fun but to me is now finally dying, there honestly running out of ideas for this game and it feels like if you don't play for a few days then everyone gets 10 times better at the game. In summary, this game was fun while it lasted, but I think it's time for this game to come to an end.

    Четверты минус это скины.Скины нужно покупать за реальный деньги,но скины стоят кучу денег и их даже продать потом нельзя по этому просто бессмысленная трата денег для дурачков,лучше за такие деньги купить нормальную игру.
    Подведем итоге:
    В игре присутствует динамика,но она испорчена ужасной фишкой игры - строительством
    Игра как я и говорил построенная на стройке
    Плохая оптимизация не соответствующая требованиям
    Ужасная баллистика и рандомная стрельба с автоматов

    I'm sure this game is fine on PC, as I do NOT recommend the Switch Version. The aiming was design for a mouse, not a analog stick. However, the game can be a mixed bag of enjoyment. matches either have you be killed immediately out of nowhere or have your wonder around for 10 minutes and than be killed out of nowhere. have the game is free, so at least I didn't waste money on this.

    Well, I sure was wrong! This game is amazing! Though it isn't beginner-friendly, I realized that motivates you to keep trying and "git gud." Though I haven't gotten any wins yet ( as of writing this), it's still really fun and I really recommend it. The long download time is definitely worth it.

    I spent more time updating the game than I did playing it. Between the clunky controls, the messy HUD, the barren overworld and the lack of stimulation, it’s a wonder how this game got to be so popular in the first place. I genuinely don’t get it.

    I love this game, I play it a lot on switch and Xbox. It is amazing I have spent around 700 hours on Xbox and 175 on switch. BUT some of the players are really toxic, just stay away from them.

    Unfinished game, Full of toxic players and the report player option does not work or they probably trash players' feedback. At least you can't yell in the switch unless you have a usb mic.

    It's also buggy, laggy and hard to control.

See, on the PC version of the game you would get the DPS, Damage per 1 bullet, Bullets fired per seconds, Number of bullets available to hold in the weapon, and reload time. On the Switch port it only shows the DPS of the weapon, which is kind of a drag because those other stats can really help me know the weapon stats better instead of looking it up online or if its a new weapon I read the patch notes. However I will still rate this a 10/10 because look at the user score!It's a 6.7! It should be at least an 8.0! (but still this version of Fortnite does have the highest user score and is the only version in the mixed of average range). So i'm doing this to help raise the user score. The 6.7 is mostly from unaware idiots and in most of their reviews say how some controls are missing (which is entirely FAKE NEWS), how the graphics are bad (ITS THE FREAKING SWITCH ITS NOT PERFECT BE GRATEFUL ITS HD) and how playing on the joycons is horrible (really, it's not that bad and you can get used to it pretty quickly, I prefer Combat Pro, its best for shooting and good for building).

    the game have too many bugs, It only have the battle royal mode and not the save the world mode, I would give the game a 7 or 8, but I give a 4 because it only runs at 30fps and it doesnt have the save the world mode, also the crossplay isnt on if you dont have any friend of a Xbox, or a pc, so you will always play with members with a switch

I really thought hard about what I didn't like about the game, and the only thing I could think of was how expensive some of the cosmetic upgrades are. It's player vs player, in teams or individually, 100 per one huge and diverse map, last man (or team) standing. I read some people complain about the storm but hone sting I think the storm is one of the best features of the game. Without a storm every game would end in a draw with people camping until the competitors quit. The storm forces players to eventually converge on an area which keeps the action progressing. I think Epic came up with a great business model for this game, increasing accessibility by making it free to play and (mostly) cross platform to get the widest user base, which also finding a way to monetize the game at a level each player is comfortable with. When I first started playing I had no intention of paying extra for cosmetic upgrades, and was able to unlock a few items here and there, but the cosmetic content (different characters, dances, etc.) are generally of such high quality they really do feel like they add value to the game, and I was able to justify paying $10 for the season battle pass (which allows you to unlock way more content). This game is clearly the best game on the market for $0. At $10 (for the season's battle pass) it's still the best game for $10 or less. If I'm still having as much fun with the game by the time the next season comes out I'm sure I'll pay another $10 for the next season pass as well. As noted at the beginning, the only other fault I can find with the game is the steep price of other cosmetic upgrades that can be bought a la carte. Any amount spent over the battle pass will have diminishing returns in my opinion, meaning for $10 and some effort to level up you can unlock over 100 cosmetic upgrades per season, with at least 10-20% of those being really cool and the rest kinda meh, compared to buying a character or dance move a la carte may cost anywhere from $5-20 for a single item! That's just a bit much for me, but I do see some players with some of those expensive upgrades so I guess there are some people willing to pay their asking price. Overall awesome game though for any budget very fun, and glad to see it on the Switch, the best console I've ever owned (and I've been playing games since the original Mario Bro's/ Duck Hunt for NES).… Expand

    Fortnite brings a lot to the table with season 5, and while it is certainly worth your time and money, I just wish it could be a tad bit smoother before calling it “perfect”.

    Fortnite Battle Royale delivers a perfect balance in gunplay, progression and sandbox elements. No wonder it may be 2018's gaming phenomenon. We even like the way microtransactions allow players to enter new challenges and earn cosmetics for the game, but don´t alter the core mechanics.
