    I do hope there’s more to come from FIFA in the years ahead, but for now it’s more of a fun-to-have rather than a must-have for Nintendo Switch owners.

    If FIFA 19 on PS4 and Xbox One is a 40-piece orchestra with all the bells and whistles you can think of, then FIFA 19 on Nintendo Switch is the tribute band.

    While the game boasts some improvements over last year's iteration of the game, it still feels like same game overall. If FIFA 20 on Switch won't shake up things drastically, this would be the last FIFA game you'll need on the Switch.

    The old adage of less is more cannot be applied in this scenario as Nintendo Switch users are emphatically getting less bang for their buck. EA promised that the FIFA series on Switch would be the "Most immersive, social and authentic sports game ever created for Nintendo players," which is true, but it pales in comparison to its counterparts on rival consoles. If handheld gaming is the preference here, or Switch is the only option, then FIFA 19 will deliver strongly but, otherwise, it is best to pick this up on the Xbox One or PS4.

    FIFA 19 brings the second iteration of the world's most popular football game series to the Nintendo Switch and this delivery improves on its predecessor when it comes to gameplay and competitions. It does not go all the way, however, when it comes to visual performance and to the AI's behaviour, not to mention the disappointing lack of some gaming modes. While FIFA 19 does its part to bring football back to Nintendo platforms, it still needs to go further to become truly indispensable title.

    Prettier than FIFA 18, the new Switch version of FIFA 19 is still lacking most of the features that make the regular FIFA 19 a good football game. It's still enjoyable for what it is: a handheld FIFA.

    I still have endless amounts of fun playing matches online and my most wanted feature, being able to play online against friends, has been added. With that being said, there are still so many features that EA is holding back for some unknown reason and, until they are implemented, it still feels like a missed opportunity. There is no doubt it is better than last year’s FIFA, but it could have been so much more.

    While the full-fat FIFA 19 experience delivers in spades, the Switch version feels dated and is lacking in key gameplay improvements — even some from years ago. Unfortunately, it’s easily the worst way of experiencing FIFA 19 this year.

    FIFA 19 on Switch is a sharper, fuller package than FIFA 18. While it's a slick and playable effort, however, it feels like a job only half done, while the football itself feels a little stiff and one-dimensional.

    FIFA 19’s numerous improvements on and off the pitch mean it overtakes its predecessor as the best football game released on a Nintendo system, and it’s still a technical marvel when played in handheld mode. That said, EA’s decision not to improve Ultimate Team and Career – arguably the two most popular modes – feel like a missed opportunity. It’s better than last year’s game, then, but not as much as it could have been. If you're new to FIFA, then add one point to the score below; this is the best soccer game on Switch by a mile. However, if you're a grizzled veteran - as pretty much anyone who is contemplating a purchase is likely to be, given the advanced age of EA's premier sports franchise, then the score stands.

    To be fair, FIFA 19 isn´t actually a bad game. For a mobile console FIFA 19 is even a pretty good and fun football package. But the outrageousTo be fair, FIFA 19 isn´t actually a bad game. For a mobile console FIFA 19 is even a pretty good and fun football package. But the outrageous thing of EA is, to sell the 95% exact game year by year for the full price. Except the actual transfers, new player ratings and the official name "Champions League" included, FIFA 19 is exactly the same game as FIFA 18. Same graphics, same gameplay, same problems. If you play FIFA 18 and the next day FIFA 19, there is no chance to see any differences. It feels like a full price player update, which is absolutely not worth the money. The changes are probably worth 15€, but that´s it. If EA won´t change this greedy attitude and include new gameplay to a full price game, this is my last FIFA game for the next few years.
    To sum up this review, if you haven´t bought a FIFA game the last years, don´t hesitate to buy FIFA 19, but otherwise save the money, it´s not worth it.    … Full Review »

    I like this game. It is better all around from the last one, which i easily put well over 500 hours into. I hope that this year FIFA 19 willI like this game.     If you're really into football/soccer you'll probably love it.
    If you've already played previous FIFA games, it's up to you to decide if a glorified roster update is worth the cost of a full price game.
