Perfect controls on Switch, never seen Tycoon game with easier controls system. Good looking graphics without any fluency problems. I've spend long hours and I didn't find any bug, the game keeps me chained to the console

This is awesome farming game which remind me old good SimFarm. Very intuitive play and pretty good game control. I lost a lot of hours into it and want more and more. Music is relaxing and whole games is very addictive. I havent seen any bugs which caused any problem to spend long hours as farmer.

Unexpectedly, Farm Tycoon has become one of my favourite games on Nintendo Switch in last months.

First it's playable as heck and has this "one more" syndrome. Then after you're already addicted, you notice very skilfully designed user interface and controls. For me this is the best part of the game. No screen touching is a great ADVANTAGE in this case. You've got everything under your

For me this is the best part of the game. No screen touching is a great ADVANTAGE in this case. You've got everything under your fingers and it's really brilliant, makes for great immersion. Next are tidy graphics and nice country sounds.
One more thing - the game works so neatly and fluently. I think the developers did a tremendous job here to make a game so complex, so good looking and still so well optimised for Nintendo Switch.
Also, Sonka (the developers) already patched some issues and are working on others. Definitely Farm Tycoon is one of the hidden gems on Switch, which soon will be hidden no more.

Reminds me best moments from Harvest Moon on SNES and PSX. Besides it runs very smooth, thanks to new type of engine produced by Sonka. Overall nice game.

This is a nice game with intuitive controls and lovely atmosphere. There's a variety of plants, fruits, vegetables to grow, animals to take care of and breed, buildings, ways to process your production into more refined products, upgrades to purchase and so on. With a challenge to put all of this together throughout the different seasons of the year. So at first it looks well done and easy to play and rewarding especially for casual players like me.

Now, if you are really spending time into this game beware that there are bugs unlike the various (suspicious) comments I'm seeing that state the opposite. I started to notice them only while expanding my farm to some extent.

I built a frozen strawberry business that rely on 100 greenhouses, 18 small frozen food factories, 3 cooled warehouses and 36 permanent employee houses for a total staff strength of 275 permanent workers.

While doing so I noticed the following bugs:

    - The last upgrade of the farm owner building, with a cost of nearly a million coins, is bugged as it breaks auto-trade, one of the key features in this game (used to sells your goods automatically instead of the manual process you have to go through at the beginning).

    - One of my seasonal worker contract expired but the worker was never removed from my staff and completely disappeared on screen. It blocked one of my greenhouse from producing anything forever. I could also not delete empty seasonal worker buildings due to this, nor the impacted greenhouse...

    - I'm regularly seeing the game crash after some period of time. Usually it happens during a season change after a couple of virtual years have passed. Good thing there's an auto-save feature but you will still loose everything that was not saved yet.

    - With a large enough build, the game starts to struggle and is probably asking too much to the switch or lacking optimizations. I could see how navigating my farm was slower and menus were not as responsive as they with a smaller domain. Although you can buy additional land, at some point I'm not sure it's really usable but I didn't try a full size build either.

Above a certain scale I noticed the game really lacks a lot of features to be able to manage your farm efficiently. In particular, maintaining your staff is a pain: no way to filter your staff by role, skill, cost and so on. You basically need to navigate the entire staff list very often. There's no way to access directly the worker skill upgrade menu from the place where they are working, no way to assign roles by shorter distance to the employee's house (sometimes they need to walk a lot before doing anything useful, decreasing your business efficiency when the farm gets bigger). Another thing is the role auto-assign process is dumb and doesn't consider employee skills while placing someone for a given task.

Finally the audio design is nice but certain sounds are too loud like the persistent water pump buzz that covers almost everything else within a large range and got me to mute the game as it was ruining my experience.

So if you get this game at a discount I would say it's worth it and will still be fun for the price but don't expect a flawless experience.

    Do NOT buy this game.

The game has a common bug that happens regularly, for me it happened in the first 15 minutes, and it basically prevents you from progressing any further. Developer says they're fixing the game but several patches since release didn't get rid of the bug. Dave yourself time money and energy and ignore this steaming pile of garbage.

Well, overall is it a nice game. If you love farm management, just buy it. I bought this game just for 0.99€. But there are some bugs in this game. If i abort an task then your workers will keep working. Some bugs will stick in your game save. So you will need to start again.

I have a Nintendo Switch OLED version but i have a bit of an performance issue. If i have 20 Green Garden and some buildings without fields and a couple wind turbines, well... then this game will lagging or not much fps. And the rain makes this worser. But if you restart the game or reload your save then for a couple minutes will resolve this problem. Sorry about my English. I hope you will understand it.

What i can say is: Enjoy the game, and be aware if you want to put more buildings.

The annoying thing is that I really enjoy this game but it constantly crashes and shuts down, I know it's not my switch because it's happened on my old one and my brand new oled switch so didn't play it for a couple of months, picked it back up today and its still the same

Admittedly, Farm Tycoon’s buggy on the Switch, and missing touch screen support leaves SONKA in the hot seat. But the amount of content, and the variety therein, combined with its addictive nature, makes this a good, if sloppy, pick for genre fans.
