    More meditative than contemplative, FAR: Changing Tides is an invitation to tranquility, so assertive that it sometimes becomes sluggish. Between the long crossings, moments of grace maintain the interest of the experience, translated by intuitive puzzles and sound design at its peak.

    For those who need their games to be about something more tangible, to have a story told in audio logs and written lore, FAR: Changing Tides isn’t for you. Nothing convincingly clicks, plot wise, until its final hours, before which it’s enigmatic, melancholic and abstract - again, so much in the same vein as the game that came before it, albeit with a longer play time. Whether the freshness the new vehicle brings is enough for you to take a second trip, only you know - but even those who never experienced the barren flats of Lone Sails could well find the beauty in the compelling cataclysm of Changing Tides.

    This game is utterly phenomenal. Probably one of the best games I have ever played. No doubt about it it is at times meditative and not actionThis game is utterly phenomenal. It’s the perfect mix of puzzler and just powering your ship and chilling on the ocean as you set sail and fuel your ship. I felt compelled to write this review after seeing IGNs review stating they’d done worse with this release than the first game. I played both back to back and I couldn’t disagree more. The first game was good but a little too short and I was a little frustrated to find out you never even set sail. But this game is ample long enough and truly immersive. Solid work from Okomotive, can’t wait for the next release!… Full Review »

    Not quite. First in the sequel you don't travel in some sort of locomotion on the ground but in an aquatic vehicle, then its considerably longer and it offers a greater variety of mechanics to progress. I don't want to go further into details not to spoil those who enjoyed the first game but haven't played the second yet.
    In the end this game is again a journey through a post-apocalyptic world which is worth to be done mainly due its calm atmosphere which is supported by its hand drawn graphics and minimalistic soundtrack played with real instruments.
    This game was even more pleasant than the original FAR, the latter which has been a beautiful experience nonetheless.    … Full Review »
