A fun and engaging party game that offers the beauty of seventeen mini-games to be discovered. Absolutely to have, especially for its price, net of the lack of online mode, which would have helped.

As far as party games go, Everybody 1-2-Switch is one of the best we’ve played in recent years. Whether you’re simply going head-to-head with a loved one or gathering the whole family together, the minigames here are bound to have you laughing and guffawing your way through them. The variety is excellent, and even the ‘worst’ games in the collection are so silly that you’ll be grinning from ear to ear. At just £25/$30, it’s an absolute steal, too.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! works better than we expected in any circumstance, from a family afternoon to, perhaps, one of those team building events that companies organize to unite their work teams, and to this we must add the attraction of coming at a reduced price. It is a very measured, adaptable, fun game that awakens the competitive mood and with which time will fly by and that has the rope to be one of the protagonists of all kinds of social and family gatherings and thus we will be able to definitively save generations of games passes that we used for these purposes.

Finally a game for larger groups which is easy to connect and ready to play right away. All you need is some friends, enough space and everyone setup with a smartphone. The minigames are diversified and you can even play bingo against your granny. The game overall is a nice way of passing the time, not more not less, and makes the most fun when played in larger groups.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! it's the perfect game when friends come over. This sequel to Nintendo's new party games saga proposes a remix of minigames where there is something for everyone and for all tastes; although you will probably end up forgetting about some of them in order to enjoy the best ones. Disagreements between colleagues are taken for granted.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! It's a game that can be entertaining but not for long, and that's precisely due to the small number of mini-games that it brings with it, being easily surpassed by the previous installment. In fact, the possibilities for something ambitious were right there, but they weren't properly harnessed.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! is not trying to fool anyone: it is a small evolution of its predecessor, adding more games to play with all sorts of people, regardless of their previous experience with video games. Something like a Nintendo-style Jackbox Party, but with more games, although also way simpler.
  9. Everybody 1-2 Switch becomes ordinary for older players after a while. However, if you want to play a party game that is both environment interactive and controller orientated for younger players, I can recommend this production sold for 30 dollars.

Simple, fun and entertaining, Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a party game that lives up to its own hype. It's really just that, end of the period.

Everybody 1-2 Switch! repeats as a game that you will take out to liven up parties and meetings, and although it lacks modes and options (you can't skip the instructions of each minigame) and its 17 games are simpler and not all equally inspired, its ability to entertain everyone equally and its games for 100 players remains as its main asset.

It’s definitely a step forward compared to basic 1-2-Switch!, but that step isn’t big enough to help the game come out of its (very narrow) niche.[Issue#262, p.76]

I can really only recommend Everybody 1-2-Switch! to those who regularly entertain large groups of friends who aren’t averse to playing games. Even then, there are so many better party games to play, with Nintendo itself offering several that are better than this. Not even a wacky horse head guy can save it, and I didn’t think I would ever say that about anything.

Everybody 1-2 Switch is a simple, immediate party game that does not claim to overly engage the players, designed to spend a few hours in the company of friends or to spice up family lunches and dinners. However, the product is aimed at a purely casual audience and - in terms of stratification of the proposal and gameplay - fails to reach the qualitative peaks of other exponents of the segment such as Mario Party. The risk of being dusted off only for special occasions, just like that boardgame that we like so much but never play, is just around the corner. The competitive price, however, is a point in its favor.

When it comes down to brass tacks, what you put in here is what you get out. Going in with a pessimistic attitude is most likely going to breed hatred for the bright bold presentation and what Nintendo perceives to be fun activities. Take everything with a pinch of salt and plan a night around making a fool out of yourself and others however, and you might find yourself discussing 'the night we played Everybody 1-2 Switch!' for years to come. Unfortunately, with limited replay appeal, a night may just be all you get before the diminishing returns.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a perfectly serviceable party game when playing through one of the mini-games that offers something new, but those moments are few and far between. The rest of the games are not by any means bad, but they fail to stand out on the already-loaded table of Nintendo party titles. Combine this with the noticeable step-down in quality when playing with fewer people, and we are left thinking that this is a game which will only be brought out in very specific circumstances. It's a perfectly harmless party game, but it doesn't come close to what Nintendo has achieved in the genre in the past.

If you happened to be a fan of the original 1-2-Switch, getting the sequel is probably a no-brainer, but otherwise, you’ll likely find it to be a mediocre package that’s equally as entertaining as it is bad.

Everybody 1-2 Switch! is the follow-up to launch title 1-2 Switch!, and as a party game that intends to gather players around its minigames, it's certainly ambitious and casts a wide net, with the possibility to use a smartphone as a controller on several minigames and the staggering capacity to handle one hundred players at once in some of its minigames. Unfortunately the way they are implemented is anything but simple and practical, and the higher the number of players involved, the more cumbersome the experience becomes. With a narrow appeal and quick lifespan, Everybody 1-2 Switch! falls behind several of its peers.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a perfectly enjoyable minigame collection dragged down by what feel like obvious oversights.

Some aspects work, the new focus on more team play is not bad either, but in the end, more or less just kids who can be entertained for a bit longer while playing. But even then, after a few hours, they will come up with a request, asking if they could play Mario Party or something more fun instead. Unfortunately, that's the reality of the game where the creators focused too much on bringing something grand but forgot about the fun, which should be the primary purpose of party games.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! is just a very difficult game to enjoy. Most of the minigames are boring, and you have little say over how or if you can even engage with them. The game would be inoffensive if you had access to all minigames from the get go, and needing to unlock all of them individually is a baffling decision when combined with the random selection and weird preference towards UFO and Squats.

Everybody 1-2 Switch! will likely entertain you for 30 minutes or so, if that. But it’s hardly worth its asking price, and with two other Mario Party games already available on the Switch, it’s difficult to recommend this one to anyone at all.

I knew the writing was on the wall when Everybody 1-2 Switch! was announced in the same month that it was released, with little fanfare from Nintendo. Everybody 1-2 Switch! is fun in the same way that watching a bad movie is fun. If you’ve got some good friends together and everyone’s in a silly mood, you might have a good time throwing on Everybody 1-2 Switch and having a laugh at the absurdity of it all. But after about 20 minutes of this, most sensible people will ask you to close the game and launch Mario Kart, Mario Party, or even Switch Sports before they sink more of their precious time into Everybody 1-2 Switch!

If you’re looking for good party games on the Switch, you can do and have done better. If you’re looking for good games on Switch for casual players or kids, you can do and have done better. If you’re looking for good games on the Switch for multiple players…you get the idea. Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a game with no real reason to exist, and its lineup of mostly boring, overly simple, poorly-presented games fails to justify its existence. Moreso than its predecessor, you can easily skip this game, and your parties will be the better for it.

Everybody 1-2-Switch is a tedious and surprisingly small catalog of unoriginal and mostly poorly designed minigames that’s guaranteed to bring any party grinding to a halt. Even with a few interesting ideas, like Joy-Con hide and seek or the color scavenger-hunting modes, there are simply too few options to keep a group’s attention for one game, much less for multiple matches. Throw in the fact that many ideas are mind-numbingly boring, and others are rehashes of stuff found in the original, and you’ve got yourself a great way to rid yourself of unwanted friendships but not much more than that.

A game whose very existence is absolutely baffling, with a tiny collection of completely uninteresting mini-games, that remain dull and unimaginative no matter how many people are playing.

After just three or four sessions with Everybody 1-2 Switch, I'd seen it all and didn't want to go back. I don't know how this happened, but I do know that there are far, far better ways to entertain friends and family on Switch than this.

Ultimately, I can't think of a reason why anyone should play it. It's a desperately unimaginative, repetitive collection of minigames with nothing to offer. [Issue#329]
