A really charming puzzle platformer. The core mechanic is really versatile, and levels range from thoughtful to frenetic. Meanwhile the art and music both create a dreamily beautiful experience.

And while the game is more puzzle-focused than most other platformers, the crystals combined with the Instant Fire feature offer fast-paced movement options which make the platforming itself super fun. I've played the game for 200+ hours and still find myself enjoying the gameplay. If you're interested in trying out a new puzzle-platformer with a good replay value, I'd highly recommend this game. Once again the Indie developers bring a gem to the scene! A beautiful game with amazing artwork, breathtaking music and a heartwarming story. There's always more than one way of beating a level, and it's fun to figure out creative ways of traversing each level to beat it in ways that weren't intended. All in all, an outstanding game, and in my opinion, a must buy! Expand

Pretty and satisfying puzzle platform. The puzzles can be difficult, but they're achievable with opportunities to go above and beyond (or replay) to unlock extra powers. Beautiful score, fun mechanic, lovely artwork!

A charming and affecting story about second chances enhanced by a magnificent fully orchestral soundtrack round out this impressive first release from four-person indie outfit Stone Lantern Games.

The collecting and speed-running aspects offer something different for all playstyles, which is really appealing for those who want a little more of a challenge.

Evergate is a precision puzzle platformer which looks beautiful and sounds fantastic. Although the controls take some getting used to, the intricately designed levels provide a wealth of challenge, and the power-up system offers many different ways to play.

Evergate has the potential to be an incredible game to play, with its beautiful artwork and animation, and intelligent and well-planned gameplay. Unfortunately, every level feels like a struggle, needing pinpoint precision to complete and move on to the next. It ends up a frustrating experience more than an enjoyable challenge.
