Europa will be a great experience for anyone who likes Journey, or for anybody who wants a non-violent experience that comes with a nicely told, heartfelt narrative.

Europa is a cinematic puzzle platform game inspired by the Studio Ghibli films which delivers an atmospheric and meditative experience. Even though it’s a relatively short visit to the moon of Jupiter, it’s a welcome escape from every day life.

Europa is a nice little indie gem, that hopefully gets a few more updates on the Switch. Zee's adventure offers the player adventure and great small puzzles. And considering the game only lasts for a few hours, it's a surprisingly varied experience, too.

A brief, joyous exercise in curiosity and exploration, that’s at least as much about atmosphere and the feeling of traversal, as it is about your destination.

Europa's lovely sights pop on Switch with gorgeous environments and animation but its barebones gameplay becomes rather tedious.

Europa doesn’t ask much of you, but left us asking lots of questions. The story feels half-baked, the controls are clunky, and we’re still unclear on the objective. The beautiful backdrop is its best feature, and it’s very relaxing to play in parts. It’s hard to recommend this game because there’s nothing it does terribly, but there’s nothing it does terribly well either. Every element present here can be found elsewhere, and better – with no need to travel to a moon of Jupiter.
