Oct 26, 2021Overall, Epistory – Typing Chronicles is a beautiful and touching experience that also doubles up as a way to improve your typing skills. Though it can be played with Joy-Con, keyboard is absolutely the way to go.
-
Aug 5, 2021The very core of Epistory – Typing Chronicles is centered around words and story. The narrative and visuals carry over well to the Switch, but the typing combat gimmick requires the cumbersome use of an external keyboard or the built-in adaptation to Joy-Con controls. It’s a fun, clever game, but one that’s best experienced on the computer.

Jul 9, 2021Stunningly beautiful to watch, rather boring to play.

Aug 4, 2021It’s really unfortunate, because I feel like Epistory has a lot of potential to be great. Its papercraft world is gorgeous, and the voiceover narration has a lot of charm. But no matter how good those things may be — and how good this game probably is when you play it on PC — the fact of the matter is that Epistory is a lousy fit for the Switch.
