for the money I quite enjoyed this game I love brick breaker games Like Arkanoid and on the switch we have Glaive a tough game to beat and this one is at least a little easier plenty of lives no power ups maybe the paddle gets bigger but that's it and 3 game modes all of those add variety the
ball mechanics are hit and miss (sorry) but the game I felt was fine in bursts

sometimes the paddle will hit the ball at an angle which leads to a disadvantage in fact sometimes the game can be its own worst enemy the visuals can be a little distracting but apart from that I quite enjoyed it for a few quid why not

If you love using an analogue stick to move a digital object this game is made for you! Love techno, new age, reggae, hip hop and dubstep all blended into the same ear-bleeding mess? This game has you covered. Suffer from epilepsy and enjoy fitting on a regular basis? Great news. An instant seizure is just a tap away! Otherwise don’t waste your time on Energy Invasion.

Energy Invasion shows some interesting and bold design choices that challenge some core aspects of one perhaps the most static genres that is still relevant today. However, these changes are badly implemented, only adding too much unnecessary clutter that is sometimes annoyingly hard to spot due to the small size. It is easy to want to like Energy Invasion as it adds more action to a genre in which some people desire more action and there is a desire to see more like this, but the drawbacks and flaws slowly creep up on the player. All that can be done is to hope that a sequel or spiritual sequel to the game get made that fixes some of the annoying things and decrease clutter to make it a more enjoyable experience as there clearly is a lot of untapped potential.

Energy Invasion is a bad game. It’s currently the game I hate the most out of everything I’ve played so far on the Nintendo Switch. Outside of maybe the music, I can't name a single aspect that I liked about it. Most importantly, I felt worse mentally after playing it and that is simply the worst.
