    Dungeon Munchies is a clunky and repetitive game that will oddly get its hooks in you once you begin to understand its unconventional gameplay. It's still an irritating experience, though, but one that is somewhat endearing with its off-the-wall humour.

    Dungeon Munchies is the kind of game that feels like it might be good in another two or three years. Despite the shoddy visuals, awful performance, sloppy movement mechanics, and unoriginal crafting systems, it feels like there could be a good game somewhere in here. With a few tweaks, this combat system might have some promise, and the core loop of crafting—fighting—repeat seems like an interesting riff on the main idea of Monster Hunter. Unfortunately, that potential has yet to fully present itself here — this is an Early Access release with all the issues and lack of cohesion that implies. We’d recommend you pass on Dungeon Munchies, and instead suggest either looking into Dead Cells or Dragon: Marked for Death. There are some quality traits here, but it’s not enough to redeem Dungeon Munchies.

    I’m always down to check out games that are a little off-center, and from its basic description Dungeon Munchies certainly fits that bill.I’m always down to check out games that are a little off-center, and from its basic description Dungeon Munchies certainly fits that bill. Essentially playing as a zombie who is doing the bidding of a necromancer, stirring up some trouble… somewhat literally. A central piece of this side-scrolling adventure is crafting recipes to improve your equipment and skills, quickly getting to the point where you’ll need to make some decisions on either what best compliments your style of play or what may be needed to get you through a tough section. While it has its charm, and its level of difficulty in general is reasonable, that’s not to say it doesn’t have some rough edges when it comes to the controls and just the general bones underlying the game experience. If you’re looking for some fun though, and are willing to forgive some warts in the name of something a little different, it may be a good match though.

Terrible animation, obvious lack of sound effects, ugly pixel graphics and this clumsy game also manages to periodically slow down and freeze! Offcorse devs can say "guys we only team of three people blablabla". For Christ's sake look on Devil Slayer Raksasi or Hollow Knight this games made by three-man studios too! Worst game I played in 2021! Selling obviously raw and unfinished games on your platform, just have no words! Nintendo I hope you'll burst out of greed someday!… Full Review »
