As it stands, Discovery is Minecraft, but with fewer polished mechanics, no survival mode, and fewer blocks to use, and slightly less impressive graphics. It’s not a bad game by any means, but there’s nothing here that Minecraft doesn’t already do much better. If you’re only interested in the creative mode, and you don’t mind giving up some bells and whistles, this is a decent alternative for those of you that are looking to save a few bucks, but otherwise, you’re not missing out on anything significant if you choose to pass.

Let's just list the things it does right; It has pretty animals and a lot of block choices and some boring in two-minutes creative mode. While having a lot of blocks, a lot of them are particles or similar that require no hit-box but for some reason have one. Currently as it stands, you could find a much better Minecraft clone for PC for free. I'd suggest you look at Minetest or Terasology. Otherwise save your AU$12 and put it towards Minecraft; Nintendo Switch Edition. At least you will get the block-based game you are looking for. Expand
