40$ for a 0$ game. Only buy if you love getting ripped off.

Don't get me wrong. I've purchased the game on the PC and it's AMAZING. One of the funniest and most entertaining adventure games I know. Still, I didn't pay anything for it (got it in one of the MANY giveaways), but I would love to see it with 5$ price tag( or 10$, if I'm desperate) 40? That's just preying on naive people,

That's just preying on naive people, and I have no interest in being a part of that.

This game goes around on PC for FREE. On a bad day you can buy it for a few dollars. Pricing it at 40$ is an obvious attempt on getting people buy it at a permanent sale and it's a cash grab. Sorry guys, your game is great, but your marketing practice is vomit-inducing. It almost makes me wish I never purchased any of the products.

tl;dr -publisher is greedy; get it on PC, otherwise you're getting ripped off.

In its current state, the Switch version has no touch screen support. This is very disappointing given the platform and its various input options are perfectly suited to games in this genre. Thimbleweed Park is the best example of how to handle bringing the genre to Switch. The Switch version of Deponia also has some inconsistency with A and B for selecting. Usually, games that see late ports to Switch and cost more have a few added extras. Over here, you aren’t getting anything extra barring the asking price.

With lovably odd characters, a fantastic art design, and a really engaging style of gameplay, Deponia shows what a modern point and click game should be. Despite a steep incline in difficulty that may catch a few players off guard, Deponia’s highlight is its character design and writing, and you can expect to be entertained throughout.

Deponia is a fine example of the genre, but there's no getting around the fact that the game's price on Switch will be your main barrier to entry here. It plays well and has that charm that Daedalic is famous for, and it constantly reminds you of the Monkey Island series – no bad thing at all. But when you're able to find the same game for under a quid if you look hard enough – and you take into account that this Switch version has no added benefits – it becomes harder to recommend. You'd be better of waiting for a price drop, or, if you're still interested, investigate if Deponia is available on an alternative platform at a cheaper price.
