Depixtion is the nice middle ground between the simple Picross games and the more complicated ones that try to throw different genres into the mix. Veteran Picross players should be able to quickly pick up the concept of using different shades of color and different color layers, and it won't be too daunting for newcomers either. The puzzle selection in Depixtion can seem low compared to its contemporaries, but it will take some time to get through them all due to their layout. Overall, Depixtion is a solid puzzle game that fans will appreciate having in their libraries.

If you’re a Picross fan, there’s a lot to like in Depixtion. It’s a worthy addition to an ever-growing picture puzzle library on Switch. The nice twist on the colour format makes it feel like something slightly different, and its intuitive controls and easy-to-navigate menus make it one of the better options out there. For $7.99, it provides excellent value for money, too – it’s just a shame it’s missing a couple of accessibility options.

A picross clone but the controls are worse. And the only mode is a 2-color version of color picross, which has always been easier than normalA picross clone but the controls are worse. And the only mode is a 2-color version of color picross, which has always been easier than normal picross. The puzzles get bigger as you go along but never really any harder. It does have one unique gimmick, and that is that you're solving all the red color of the picture, then the yellow, then the blue. It sounds good in theory but in reality it means you're just solving 3 puzzles in a row that are nearly identical to each other. Full Review »

Not a big fan of Picross games in general but it's pretty neat! Give it a try love.

This game is unbelievably addicting! Now that it's on the switch, I can't seem to put it down.
