Jun 24, 2019Cybarian: The Time Traveling Warrior isn’t a very long game by any stretch of the imagination, but when you take into consideration its low price point, it really is a no-brainer. Engaging, tough combat combined with superb retro graphics and a killer soundtrack make for an experience that fans of old school action titles will relish, if only for a short amount of time.

Aug 28, 2019Cybarian: The Time Travelling Warrior may be another game that rides the retro revival wave but while there is nothing unusual about this, its premise and plot are full of absurdist and oddball elements. If the audiovisual environments and boss fights are quite enjoyable in Cybarian, there are points which could have benefited from extra work, such as the combo system and the placement of checkpoints throughout the levels.
