Crysis Remastered Trilogy on Nintendo Switch is an absolute must play experience. The Crysis games were already fantastic first person shooters and the remastered experience on Switch is a sight to behold. All 3 games have been updated to look and run amazingly well and playing in handheld mode will genuinely blow you away.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy is the premiere of the three Crysis games on a Nintendo console, following last year's release of the original game. By all measures, it could hardly have gone better. The three games are a marvel to play and to behold, and their conversion has been technically flawless, with a fluid and smooth experience throughout. Overall, this is a fitting incarnation of a trilogy so relevant within the world of FPS games. The only thing that could improve this experience would be a multiplayer mode.

The Crysis Remastered Trilogy arrives on Switch in a fantastic set of ports that deliver the full-fat super soldier experience with very little in the way of stutters, bugs or other technical failings. If you're picking this one up as a complete set, you've got a ton of excellent shooter action to blaze your way through in a trilogy of games that's aged remarkably well over the years and looks and plays great on Nintendo's hybrid console. Individually, however, things get a little more complicated, with the first two games easy recommendations, whilst number three is a little on the short side and feels rather threadbare without its multiplayer aspects to beef things up.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy lands on Nintendo Switch in an unexpectedly very good conversion.

A shiny time capsule housing six years of sci-fi shooter evolution. Performance-wise, the Switch is two for three, with the Crysis remaster struggling to keep up with the sequels. If you're in it for the visuals and not just the nostalgic flavors of the previous decade, then the remastered trilogy is best experienced on more powerful hardware.

Wearing the three Crysis, renowned for being absolute technological showcases in their time, on a machine like the Switch was a daring bet. And yet, it is clear that Crytek did very well: so certainly, this is the least impressive version among all those offered (by far) but the whole shows an impressive rendering for the machine. from Nintendo and above all perfectly playable. If we prefer to tackle it in nomadic mode to avoid plunging body and soul into textures and a resolution below the average, Crysis Remastered Trilogy is nonetheless a small feat in this case. A successful challenge that we want to envy despite its obvious but mandatory graphic concessions. As for the Crysis themselves, it is clear that a number of mechanisms are now aging: they remain good titles, but never speak of excellence ... It's up to you to see what you are looking for.

The Crysis Remastered Trilogy is a solid set of shooters with a lot of fun action and an amazing soundtrack. On Switch, the performance unfortunately holds them back from reaching their full potential.

Crysis 1 was already released ahead of its inclusion in the trilogy and is definitely the weakest of the three in terms of technical performance (lower resolution, unstable performance) while in my opinion also being the least polished of the three games. Especially the open world sandbox with its destructible environments is still entertaining for a few hours though.
What really shines on Switch though is the port of Crysis 2 and 3. These games were actually designed with console in mind and run beautifully on Switch. Compared to the original release on Xbox 360 we are looking at a cleaner image and significantly better performance. Gyro aiming is also an option (enabled by default). I'd go as far as saying that Crysis 2 and 3 are some of the best looking games on Nintendo Switch to date and alongside Doom Eternal they are the best single player shooters on the platform. Crysis 1 is not quite as great from both a technical and gameplay perspective in my opinion and knocks my rating of the complete package down from a 9/10 to an 8/10 but it's still a solid inclusion and something you might consider also playing even if it doesn't have the same wow factor as it did back in 2007 with its next generation graphics and destructible open world.
