Oct 29, 2020The best game about climbing a mountain. It's difficult but the messages and gameplay are amazing. I would not recommend this for people who are bad at platformers or don't play them often though. It's awesome. Controls work better with a d-pad, but I beat it with thumbsticks. The movement is 8 directional, so a thumbstick with grooves would also work well.

Dec 17, 2020One of the few games to fully live up to the hype around it. I waited to play it because I felt like it was getting overpraised. This game is 100% worthy of that praise. It's a fantastic platformer with a unique story. Highly recommend.
-
Jan 10, 2021An utterly amazing game. Great soundtrack. Great characters and story. Great art style if you like pixel platformers. Ignore the negative reviews. They clearly haven’t played the game enough to understand it truly.
-
Feb 9, 2021The most beautiful 2D game i hav ever seen. It‘s the best 2D game I‘ve ever played. A must play for everyone, who isn‘t a noob. The game is really hard.

Apr 8, 2021One of the best sidescrolling platformers I've ever played. Great story, great soundtrack. Also hard as hell, which I enjoyed!
-
May 3, 2021One of the greatest exponents of the platform today, the intentions of this game are pure and its design overflows with love for detail.
Madeline's moral conflict is the best I've seen in the indie industry. -

Jun 16, 2021This game had me obsessed... Perfectly designed to make you a master. It is not easy, but it is not too hard to kill your spirit. In fact, it is full of spirit. This game is an absolute perfect example of beautiful level design and tight controls.

Dec 5, 2021You can feel the time and the love that went into this game. It was one of the best experiences in a game I’ve had in a long time. It changed my mood every time I played. The music the art style the level design. Flawless in my eyes.
-
Dec 13, 2021perfect in all points of view
The story followed me in a difficult moment and thanks to that it helped me to move forward, considering that I felt like madeline -
Feb 13, 2022Possibly the best 2d platformer out there? Loved how every level felt absolutely impossible to beat, only to die time and time again and ending up beating one level after another. Extremely challenging, and very rewarding

Jul 21, 2022You can wavedash which already makes it better than 80% of games and then on top of that the level design and ideas are amazing. Also has a surprisingly great story. Overall I'd say it's a little harder than New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
-
Mar 17, 2022Damn, this game is hard but once and you will die a lot but when you get the motions needed its the closest experience to flying! One of the greatest platforming games every made. Celeste's ability to tell a difficult story has to be mentioned specially.
-
May 12, 2022The best platformer of the last decade. A perfect level-design that offers a real sense of accomplishment after every obstacle you go through.

Aug 1, 2022Is a masterpiece, from music to story is amazing, the gameplay is probably the best part tho, the levels are very fun and hard, but it feels like the one that fails it's you, not the game itself, definitely a must play. My favorite game of 2018.
-
Dec 1, 2022I beat the main story. There's still more levels to play. I doubt my opinions of this game will change. This game is great. Reminds me of my difficult Mario maker levels.
-
Nov 8, 2022Incredible in all fronts: fantastic controls, fair difficulty, lovable characters, and an emotionally moving story that tackles mental health issues. It's perfect.
-
Nov 23, 2022The story is awesome and the level of difficulty is very demanding but you can make it easier with the help menu.
-
Jan 17, 2023The music is great and I love how unique it is. It is a must-have and is very addictive.
-
Jan 31, 2023Wow, What a game. This has to have some of the best sprite work, and best platforming levels I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the story while simple is really good and touches on important themes. This is one of the best video games made
-
Mar 30, 2023This game is a perfect balance between good gameplay and outstanding aesthetics. I finished it with 2600 deaths but I can guarantee you that I didn't raged any time, it is worth it, the message the game sends is very beautiful, i recommend it
-
Apr 2, 2023This game was so well designed it is probably the best game I ever played and since playing it I now own it on everything. It's just a game designers dream.

Jul 4, 2023This is a amazing game, wonderful graphics, A M A Z I N G OST (thanks Lena Raine), beautiful story about depression, stress, anxiety… and the gameplay is also AMAZING, it’s fast, precise, and hard (yes, that’s a hard game) and I love it. I can’t say every amazing things about the game because I’d need a full book, so I’m going to stop here.

Jul 27, 2023I think celeste is an amazing game depending if you like story or gameplay. as either way you can skip the story or you can skip the gameplay (with assist mode). anyways I love this game I have 140 hours on it.
-
Aug 21, 2023Definitely one of my favourite games of all time. Very responsive, easy to learn hard to master movement that gets more fun the more you play. The game is good for both beginner players and hardcore players. The DLC is one of the hardest gaming feats I’ve completed and feels fantastic to comeplete
-
Jan 30, 2018Celeste is platforming masterpiece. This is the first platformer that implemented very good story and infuse it with great gameplay. Controls are tight. levels are very creative and secrets are well hidden. Better than all recent Mario games and even Super meat boy. Bravo, Matt.

Jul 22, 2019I´m not exactly the biggest fan of 2d platformers but CELESTE get, chalenge gameplay ( dont worry have a chet mode) chilling sundtrack and history emotional that discuss mental illness in a different way so everyone can get realeted.
I´m the middle of the game i saw my self in Madeline place, wanting to give up but continuos the climb of celeste and celebrating every steps conquered. -
Feb 5, 2018A fantastic platformer, with solid controls, and a surprisingly good storyline.

Feb 1, 2018Celeste easily ranks up there alongside the likes of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Shovel Knight as one of the best 2D platformers to be released this decade. The high-speed platforming poses a tough but fun and fair challenge, and the way the clever story is woven into the gameplay is especially brilliant. This game is definitely a must play for any fans of the genre.
-

Feb 6, 2018This game far surpassed my expectations. The controls are tight, the soundtrack is great, and the story is surprisingly good for a 2D platformer. There are some who'll find it to be a bit challenging so don't go in expecting it to be a cake walk, but I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a challenge.

Mar 29, 2018A great game with some truly difficult levels but a learning curve that will develop your skills before you know it. If you need an additional challenge the game provides it. For the price, there is not much better bang for your buck. Amazing platforming!
-
Jul 31, 2020The game is fantastic. Excellent soundtrack. I wish it was a longer game. Charismatic characters that make you smile.
I bought it on sale, but it is worth the full price. -
Aug 3, 2018Super B old style platform with accurate controls and very clever level design.
-
Aug 5, 2018Awesome platformer, one of the best on Switch right now. It starts incredibly well, the middle is a little bit boring and the final levels are great. C-sides are a bit too much though.
-
Feb 10, 2020I had a fun time with this one. I died a lot, but never felt frustrated. this game has a really calm atmosphere. i recommend it, but it's still pretty short, so i also recommend getting it when it's on sale (which i did)

-
Sep 16, 2019Great storyline, great graphics. Beats any Mario game hands down. You die a lot but learn very quickly as well – more skill-based than luck. Few games impress me but this one sure did. Only con is some levels can be a little too challenging.

Oct 10, 2018It tells a surprisingly deep and emotional story featuring a relatable main character and it all blends uniquely together to make one of the finest gaming experience of the year. Celeste might not look it but, just like the mountain Madeline is so determined to conquer, it towers above the rest quite easily.
-
Aug 25, 2018As most indie-keen gamers already know, Celeste is a phenomenal 2D platformer. Almost everything about it comes together to make a satisfying and challenging game that'll thoroughly put your skills to the test.
-
Jun 12, 2018My hands actually hurt from gripping the Switch but I couldn’t stop, and when I finally landed on the other side of one of the many gauntlets that Celeste wears like a medal, I felt both relief and curiosity as to what it would throw at me next. It’s a rewarding experience and a game that I’m honoured to issue a perfect score.
