    What a surprise. The game is an excellent adventure RPG, with fantastic graphics, smooth animation and most of all great playability. A really polished game for the Switch.

    Was surprised how much I didn't want to put the game down. Funny cat puns and quests, spells and armor with weapons. Zelda meets WoW meets Diablo. Just a fun game all around.

    There were so many good things I wanted to say about the game while playing it. Like how the combat is simplistic yet engaging, and how the loot system and spell system are diverse in terms of verity. This game was made to be accessible even to those who don't play role playing games, and that the story of the campaign and even side quests have gotten plenty of attention.

    While there are some requests, rather then issues the game has like a way to buy multiple chests at once, more diverse dungeons, and more meaningful non-playable characters, things the second game could fix, I must say this game is worth every penny they ask for, every time I picked it up I have a hard time putting it back down and I'm more then eager to 100% the game as well.

    I would like to give the game a 9/10 because it has so much room to grow, but I can't neglect the fact about how much fun I had playing this game.    … Expand

    If you want a serious game with a killer difficulty level, look elsewhere. But if you want charming, low-key, button-mashing fun, Cat Quest is the game for you.

    I loved this game. Great little soundtrack, easily playable, enough secrets to keep it interesting, and a super easy battle system. Battle plays like a mildly retarded Secret of Mana, and always puts that next level within reach, so it's easy to keep playing. I was also pretty thrilled with the free DLC, which increased the games playability pretty significantly. It moved the game from a 9I loved this game. Great little soundtrack, easily playable, enough secrets to keep it interesting, and a super easy battle system.     All in all I really enjoyed my time with Cat Quest. If you like classic Zelda and Final Fantasy games, Cat Quest is a great game to relax with and laugh along to (if you enjoy the many, many cat puns). The art is beautiful and looks great on the Switch. Although its main story was nothing special, its side quests and end game secrets are worth its price tag.

    This is surprising gem of a game, and honestly, I'm enjoying it more than many of the AAA $60 games on the Switch.

    I love how you can customize your character through gear to be more of a mage or more of a fighter. And the spells are well-implemented and fun to use.

    I can't really think of a negative besides the length, but for the price it's still a great deal.

    I've completed this game 3 weeks ago as I was ''between games''. This is usually not my type of title, but I was pleasantly surprised as it combines real-time hack 'n slash combat and RPG elements. The game is simple in general, but the side quests are interesting (possibly too many of them) and I really enjoyed the experience. There are some good/funny cat puns.     This game is pretty neat at first. The attack mechanic seems cool but soon becomes meh. It has nice characters that seem memorable... well at least the ones that have custom sprites. Spells are pretty awesome and only one seems to suck (the healing spell although it might only be because I haven't upgraded it that much).     While Cat Quest doesn't attempt to reinvent the Action Rpg genre it serves as an amazing entry into the genre with a welcoming and colorful open world and casual but fun gameplay. Cat Quest takes shots at the fundamentals of the Rpg and by doing that is able to create a comical and silly tone. The equipment system works quite well although the game is quite the grind to get the money toWhile Cat Quest doesn't attempt to reinvent the Action Rpg genre it serves as an amazing entry into the genre with a welcoming and colorful open world and casual but fun gameplay. Cat Quest takes shots at the fundamentals of the Rpg and by doing that is able to create a comical and silly tone. The equipment system works quite well although the game is quite the grind to get the money to buy the really great equipment from the blacksmith. The grinding part is another part of the game that may turn away some players. While the combat mechanics are simple and fun using a mix of attacking dodging and magic, the game overall begins to feel quite repetitive after a couple of hours. Eventually, you will find that the grind to a higher level will get long and somewhat monotonous. Mixed with the slow rate at which you receive gold it can cause frustration for players that like to follow the main story. However, Cat Quest is full of sidequests that will help lessen that awful grind a lot, however, they also suffer from tedious and repetitive mechanics, such as go to point A defeat a dungeon then comeback. Cat Quest may not be the perfect Action Rpg but it is a pretty great one. If you can get past the constant grinding you will see that Cat Quest is a beautiful world that was created to enthrall players.

    A fun and cute rpg. I liked the designs of the characters and the story which is also told in the side quests. I do however find that I found it a bit annoying how often I had to retrace and do some questing just to get to the next side quest so I can lol up enough for the story. But the playing overall is very fun and I liked playing it and now I want to play the second game

    Lo compré en una rebaja, y la verdad me arrepiento de no haberlo probado antes. Es sencillo de entender en su mecánica jugable estilo RPG, pero además es precioso: dibujado a mano, pareciese que se trata de un libo para niños, de esos 3D que se abren a medida que vas leyendo, cómo si fuese un diorama. Tiene un banda sonora relajante y épica, y sobre todo es una excelente alternativa paraLo compré en una rebaja, y la verdad me arrepiento de no haberlo probado antes.     I bought it on PS4 after this because I wanted to get a diamond (?) trophy and this game was so much fun I didn’t mind starting over. Do I need to say more? Okay, it could be bigger. I’ve had some minor performance stutters in handheld, but it’s not that big of a deal, the design is great, the cat wordplay is cute and everything looks adorable. Even the gameplay is rather fun.     This game was so addictive! The gameplay loop hit something in my synapses where I just had to keep playing “one more quest.” The world and humor of the game was up my alley. The ending felt a bit anticlimactic, but wasn’t without its surprises story wise. Looking forward to playing the sequel!

    I hate cats. I bought this game for my girlfriend, she didn't like... But oh my gosh me I loved it...... Now I love both dragons and cats. If you do all the quests, the game is not short. No need to rush the main story. If you feel the game is too easy, the Mew Life post game content is awesome and challenging. I am looking forward to the sequel.

    This game is NOT meant for gamers. It is very much meant for children. However, the game is fun nonetheless, but it is very easy and very overpriced on switch. I got it 70 percent off on switch for 3 dollars instead of 13 and this is the perfect price for a slightly above average game that happens to be very cute.

    Cat Quest is an adventure RPG, a casual game with a surprisingly wide world, interesting battle mechanics and an overworld graphic that is a stroke of genius. However, it must be said, the quests tend to get old rather quickly and at times it feels like the only difference between quests are the dialogues that preceed them. All in all, an engaging adventure and well worth the price.

    this is my favorite game! played it through twice I always enjoyed it. the epilogue was the best part just because it was sad and nice i recommend this game to everyone that is the best game i have ever played

    Full of cat puns and silly characters, I was delighted the whole way through. Quick-paced weapon combat with a handful of spells, plus a wide variety of armor and weapons, kept me sufficiently entertained to the end. I also enjoyed the story and found it to be a little bittersweet and purrfectly satisfying.

    It was admittedly a bit easy, but once you get through the story the first time you unlock both New Game+ and Mew Game. The former continues your character through the game with existing gear and skills and the latter which adds fun variables like having only 9 lives in a playthrough, or having no gear, etc. This was worth a second playthrough for me and it also allowed me to do some quests and exploring I didn't do in the first playthrough because it would have required a bunch of grinding.

    It made me pick up Cat Quest 2 which is currently awaiting a playthrough. I would personally recommend grabbing CQ1 on sale because it's such a quick romp of a game.    … Expand

    Neither short nor long cat adventure will catch you with its simplicity. It is hidden in a enjoyable duel system, picturesque graphics and a satisfying story. In addition to the gameplay, Cat Quest entertains you at every step with funny puns and references to other games. It's just a shame the game repeats the same all over again.
