May 23, 2025There’s no denying that fighting game fans, especially old school ones, will get the most out of Capcom Fighting Collection 2. The octet here comes from a bygone era, one that was a mix of classic and new. They’re games that for those who played them will never be erased from their memories. However, even newer players will have a lot of fun with this compilation if they take the time to sit and engage with each game. Titles like Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro are timeless, and others like Power Stone are just waiting to entice a new generation of players. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a must for Nintendo Switch owners.

May 18, 2025The second fighting collection (not counting the Street Fighter 30 Anniversary and Marvel vs Capcom collection) includes 3D fighting games from Capcom as well as 2D classics like CvS 1 / 2 and the Upper version of Street Fighter Alpha 3. It has some missing opportunities, like the content from PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 and the inclusion of Rival Schools (since Project Justice, it's sequel, is in this collection), but the game comes with a lot of extras, intuitive menus, and hidden characters. A great addition to the collection for Fighting Gaming addicts.

May 16, 2025Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a near-perfect compilation. Each of the games brings something unique to bear, whether in the systems they employ, their arcade-perfect visuals or the participating characters. Whether you’re a newcomer to these titles or someone who loved them the first time around, this is an incredible collection of some of the best fighting games of all time, on modern hardware, for an unbelievably reasonable price.

May 14, 2025Capcom Fighting Collection 2 brings an incredibly strong roster of classic arcade fighters to Nintendo Switch in one of the best compendiums of its work to date. This is top-notch fare, a slew of incredible games, some appearing for the first time since their original releases, replete with rollback netcode for online play, tons of unlockables, Japanese versions of all eight titles, and modern training modes to catch you up to speed. With both Power Stones, an unbeatable Capcom vs SNK double bill and Project Justice leading the charge, there's really very little to complain about here. Excellent stuff.

May 19, 2025Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a must-have package for fighting game fans who want to experience some of Capcom's classic arcade fighting games at their best versions.

Feb 27, 2026Outside of a few complaints such as overlooked titles, a lack of crossplay, and this collection only encompassing the arcade editions, this is once again a meaty package of fighting games. The appeal will be in the Capcom vs. SNK duo, but by adding in a few deep cuts, it ensures other gems get their chance to shine.

Jun 10, 2025A brilliant return to the golden age of arcade fighting games, this collection brings together eight carefully selected 2D and 3D classics. Beyond the excellent lineup, the collection features a wealth of visual settings, polished presentation, and solid online support with stable netcode. It’s a restoration that shows great respect for the originals. If you’re into retro fighting games and want to play them the right way—this collection is a knockout.

May 14, 2025Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is another mix of great hits, fun curiosities, and a few games that feel more like filling out a roster than anything. That said, Capcom vs. SNK and Power Stone are more than worth the price of entry alone, and fighting game fanatics will at least enjoy experiencing some oddities that they wouldn’t have otherwise.

May 14, 2025This retro game collection features some all time greats and offers a lesson in bold design. The great – SF Alpha 3, Capcom Vs SNK, Project Justice, Power Stone – remain great, but a couple of filler entries hold back Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

May 14, 2025Having now spent a few dozen hours playing Capcom Fighting Collection 2 across Switch, PC, and Xbox, I can't wait to play more of Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Power Stone 2 online with friends post-launch. Some game collections are worth owning just from a historic and preservation perspective, but Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is absolutely worth grabbing just for great portable versions of a few of the games included. Even as a newcomer, this collection shows Capcom truly wanted to give these games the love they deserve, making them accessible on modern platforms.

May 21, 2025If you're into fighting games, this compilation should satisfy you. It's clear that Capcom is making every effort to appeal to new players as well. This includes options to facilitate learning without forgetting veterans who will be able to rediscover the ultimate versions of their fighting games, now playable online against real opponents remotely. But despite these efforts, it's hard to deny that these titles won't appeal to everyone for several reasons: the gameplay is sometimes dated, the graphics are from another era, even if the overall package hasn't aged so badly. Furthermore, they all require a significant investment to really get the most out of them.
