    Bloons TD 5 is possibly the pinnacle of what tower defence games can offer, with tonnes of content, deep gameplay and more ways to play than you'll ever get through, there's something here for anyone even remotely interested in the tower defence genre.

    It’s genuinely sad to see NinjaKiwi like this. I wonder if the studio’s founders realised that, ten years down the line, they’d have an international company gouging players for microtransaction money, and re-releasing empty husks of old games onto the Switch for the chance at even more revenue.

    I loved playing flash games as a kid, and one day I saw a game called Bloons TD 3 and I was instantly hooked. I have been following this gameI loved playing flash games as a kid, and one day I saw a game called Bloons TD 3 and I was instantly hooked. I have been following this game series ever since. I recently bought it for the Switch, and while it is just a port of the mobile version, they perfectly mapped the controls to fit the switch and make the game easy to pick up. While this does cost more than some other versions of the game, it does not in anyway negate its value.… Expand

It doesn't support touch controls, so you have to use the analogue sticks to navigate around the screen, selecting and placing towers. This is so slow and cumbersome in comparison to a mouse + keyboard or touch controls. It's seriously limited by that factor. Stick with the mobile or Steam versions.… Expand

    I love Bloons TD 5 and I will keep playing it because it's a good game but this is just a horrible port, there are no touch controls which is super weird considering this is a mobile game, seems like that would be the easiest thing to implement. The mouse you instead control moves waaaay to fast and although there is a way to make it go slower (much, much slower) I would've preferred a settings menu where you could control the cursor speed.

    Imagine my surprise when a port of a touch screen game doesn't have touch screen controls!!! Instead there is the most awkward controls I have ever used that completely remove all enjoyment from the game. At £12.99 for 3 minutes play it's essentially the most expensive game I've played.    … Expand
