Cute game but not worth the $15. The art style is charming at the start until your eyes are hurting from staring at a white screen for 2 hours. Hard to tell what was going on with the poorly optimized camera and blurry visuals. Story felt underdeveloped with no real stakes. Some parts were charming but not enough to leave a good taste in my mouth. Worth the journey with a friend on a strong sale.

Yet ANOTHER artsy-fartsy pointless Indie game with no challenge or excitement, à la "Journey" from the PS3 era, which seems to be the godfather of all modern dull and pointless indie games like this one. Every time the deer leaps, there's a frame where it freezes. And the camera movement is jittery and laggy...when you have almost NO gameplay to speak of, and you apparently want your game to come across as elegant and sentimental, you better at LEAST make sure the camera and character movements are fluid. Blanc never truly lives up to its potential, but it is a good starting point for a potential sequel. There are simply too many missed opportunities with most aspects of the game. From the puzzle-solving to the story, more could have been done. That isn’t to say I completely disliked the experience, far from it. Just please remember to bring a friend along for the ride if you are willing to forgive any shortcomings.

Blanc is a co-op game that focuses on puzzle resolution, but it falls short as it offers very shallow challenges, too much repetition and extremely short duration.

Blanc is certainly cozy, cute, and charming, and it deserves high marks for its aesthetics and ideas, but I can’t deny how frustrated I felt while playing it. There were some high moments where cub and fawn flew through the frozen fields, delicately criss-crossing darkened paths in an otherwise blinding white spendor, but they were often followed by whiplashed lows of missing actionable cues and odd technical difficulties.
