While there are a fair few top-down dungeon crawlers and action RPGs on Switch today, there’s always room for more – especially when they fly in the face of mobile gaming’s unpredictable quality levels. And while Blade II's aesthetic is nothing new – in fact, we’d say Bloodborne and The Witcher III are really having their style cramped – the quality of its presentation and performance on Switch really makes up for it. Its slick and fast combat has plenty of depth to offer, but it’s let down by samey and uncreative level designs that repeat themselves far too often.

Blade II is a great example of what happens when you let a content-driven business make a content-driven game. There's plenty in there to do, but doing any of it is a complete waste of time. Sadly, games like Blade II are far too common, and happen right up and down the industry, from the tiny indies making mobile titles, right through to the biggest companies churning out the blockbusters. The contentification of video games is a plague, and Blade II is one of the most egregious examples of that.

But still is a good hack n slash. But Diablo III is much more "open world". even its not an open world game. But Blade is a real "go through a short path, kill two or three waves of enemies and then kill the boss" game. And it was first developed for the mobile devices and then ported to the switch. So the mechanics are... a little "mobilish". Its really not bad. I like the game so far. I´m curious to see how was ported the "you have to die a lot - so you need to buy through microtrnsations better weapons to go further".
For 25 usd its not cheap. So there must be changes from the mobile version. I just havent found them. apart from the microtransations...

I've read an article describing this game as a "Diablo-Lite" and after playing for a week, I have to agree. This game looks better visuallyI've read an article describing this game as a "Diablo-Lite" and after playing for a week, I have to agree. This game looks better visually than D3 (honestly and art style that SHOULD be D3) and the combat is more action oriented. There are 4 classes with unique skills however they are gender-locked. There is a decent amount of content (3 difficulties, 7 Acts, Hero Tower, Rifts) even if the maps are all fairly short. Each map has a few challenges, although currently I don't think it benefits you to "3-star" the maps. This may be a bug.. there are quite a few but not enough to ruin the game. Bugs and stutters included, I am unable to put this game down! Full Review »

The framerate ist about 10 fps and the game often freezes, sometimes you have to hard reset the switch cause it doesnt react anymore. The Translation is garbage and the gameplay is only a matter of grinding. No Patch ist gonna make this game good. Its F2P in Android for good reasons. Dont pay for this garbage! Full Review »
