BioShock Remastered is one of gaming’s all-time classics, and whether you’re experiencing Rapture for the first time or simply interested in revisiting it, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Switch version is every bit as solid as its counterparts on other consoles.

This is an excellent game that finally comes to Nintendo Switch. It stands out due to its graphics quality, its excellent storyline and the perfectly Switch-adapted controls. Furthermore, it comes with the whole pack of additional downloadable content. Its length, which is not very long, and the fact that some of the Switch characteristics have not been taken advantage of, as the HD rumble, do not tarnish this magnificent game.

The game also runs very well on the switch, and look just about as good as one might want it to. The only real problems are that the combat (and other parts of the gameplay,) feels somewhat janky, and it starts to drag on a little bit towards the end.
I rate this game a 8.5/10 (rounded up to a 9,) and highly recommend checking it out, especially if you see it on sale, like I did.

Bioshock Remastered for the Nintendo Switch is nothing short of an incredible experience.
This was my first time playing through a Bioshock game and I had very limited knowledge regarding the franchise as a whole. I purchased the Bioshock collection and started up the first game. I was immediately sucked into the dark and complex world the game designers masterfully created. The atmosphere was stunningly detailed and everything from the art-deco architecture to the eerily jolly music worked in perfect unison to establish the fully realized and fleshed out city of Rapture. The game ran smoothly with only minor drops in framerate and the occasional technical glitch. Gameplay wise, the first-person-shooter format allows the player to be fully immersed in the story and oftentimes feels like a movie/video game combination, with controllable cutscenes and top-notch voice acting. Playing on medium difficulty proved to have its challenges, however, I felt the difficulty overall was scaled appropriately. Combat was fun and engaging and the game provided many different options for the user to experiment with in regards to defeating each enemy.
Where Bioshock truly shines however, is the story. The plot was constantly captivating and the story marvelously unraveled before the player's eyes, with difficult decisions and grim twists that make the game feel sinister yet intelligent at the same time. I was never bored or uninterested in the different quests that make up each level as they all felt relevant to the central story the game was trying to tell and only gave the player more time to explore the carefully crafted world in front of them. My biggest issue with the game was the length; I beat it after only 5 days. This 'issue' however is more of a testament to how much I enjoyed playing and how much I would miss exploring the many buildings and passageways the game had to offer.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Bioshock for anyone looking for an entertaining yet chilling gaming experience. The world that Bioshock creates and the story that unfolds are not to be missed and make Bioshock a great game to add to any collection.

It was a lot darkerIt was my first time playing this franchise, since I always had my eyes on it, but I've never got a final push to get it. It was a lot darker than I thought it would be but overall I really liked that Bioshock had such a heavy and deep atmosphere (I played it late in the darkness). IT WAS A MARVELLOUS EXPERIENCE! Framerate wasn't dropping and the game played smoothly. It was my first FPS on a controller and it does the job in teaching shooting with analog sticks. It doesn't have a gyro aiming controls but it's still a great game. Plot was deep and it sucked me in for good. Little sisters were a little weird and big daddies were hard at first, but with the right amount of time I got used to them. I would risk saying that Bioshock is a short and sweet game, perfect for people with limited gaming time. I was like that and I really liked that I could save the game nearly whenever I wanted.
Great port with good graphics and nice framerate, audio was fine/good but it could be better. For me great start to the new (but old) franchise in my life! 9/10, -1 for the aspect of downloading some game parts even while I got a physical release.

It is worth buying merely to have the game in a handheld format, but I cannot in good conscience recommend the physical copy. Expand

    ▪️Ambientacion 10/10
    ▪️Innovación 10/10
    ▪️Historia 8/10
    ▪️Diversión 8/10
    ▪️Total 8(Yo siento que fue un 8,5)
