Big Pharma has a lot to offer for players who want a deep management simulator. There are a lot of systems to learn, and they take a long time to master if you want to succeed in the hardcore scenarios. The game goes further than the factory floor, bringing research, originator ingredients, and the min/max specification usually reserved for MMOs to the normal management experience. On Nintendo Switch the game suffers a little from awkward controls and text size, but the fact that a game of this scale works as well as it does on the platform eclipses its flaws once you're invested. In truth, running a global drug corporation on-the-go has never been more enjoyable, unless you’re losing money because all of your drugs cause headaches. Good luck.

Big Pharma tries to mix puzzle game with strategic and managing elements and it succeeds for the most part. The flaws derive from its steep learning curve, some problems with visualization and graphics and a quite shallow representation of all the complex elements outside the act of crafting medicines.

Big Pharma is an interesting game about pharmaceutical management that offers a good gaming experience if the player manages to overcome a rather tedious start and a large number of texts that are difficult to see due to their size.

I have no doubt that, in the right circumstances, it could be a lot of fun to play. Those right circumstances, however, are clearly on a PC. The Switch version of this game was thrown together with no attention or care as to whether things work, and unless you’re well-acquainted with the game going in, you’re not going to get very much out of it.
