Mar 6, 2019I didn’t really have any expectations on Beat Cop when I first played it on PC back in 2017. Even two years later now on the Nintendo Switch it manages a quite pleasant surprise playing it. The story is quite addicting and I’m always eager to see what is next or even replay to see what else could have happened. Beat Cop is a pretty decent length as well and should clock in for most somewhere between seven and ten hours. The non-linear story, along with the multiple endings, means there is a good amount of replayability as well. All in all, this is a great homage to 1980’s cop shows that shouldn’t be missed.

Jul 10, 2019Impose justice or get in the bands, you choose. A wonderful and badass experience with a graphics section that is a delight.

Apr 28, 2019The witty writing and unique premise still make Beat Cop a street worth investigating. It has plenty of questions to post on morality (just how far would you push your agenda on the people that look up to you?) but makes it silly and accessible enough to never become too dire. Its a riot, and well worth a routine inspection.

Mar 22, 2019The graphics style, soundtrack, general direction of the story and the crude and extremely politically unfriendly dialogue makes the game stay true to its intentions. While the controls may not be the best, the story and dialogue stay the same, and if that's what you're in for, then that will just be a minor oversight.

May 13, 2019Beat Cop is an interesting point and click cop simulator with great humor. The mechanic of the game is interesting in the beginning but does not evolve for later levels. The time concept is neat, but limits the player’s ability to roam and discover more events and things to do.

Mar 27, 2019Beat Cop is a game that shines as bright as it can on Nintendo Switch. Sadly, some flaws from the original version still remain and make it difficult to enjoy the game, even though its mechanics and narrative are really good.

Jun 12, 2019Beat Cop is a fun and zany action game that puts the player in a cliché 1980s action movie setting and does a fine job at that. Its missions can get confusing and repetitive at certain moments but the game's mechanics and environment are noting short of delightfully funny and are certain to keep the players laughing and enjoying the experience for some time.

Apr 1, 2019It can get dull in spots, especially if you find yourself with downtime, but there’s enough flavour and personality in the artwork and important characters to make things interesting. I wish the story was better, and that the 80s cheese was toned down to make room for something more thought-provoking, but what’s here is unique. So if you’re up for some fun, time-management based gameplay that doesn’t take itself too seriously, get your ticket book out and hit the streets.

Mar 12, 2019Beat Cop is one perp that’s best approached with caution.
