I personally like platformers and racing games. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for the Switch. I did not like Redout and Fast RMX therefore I tried this game a few months ago. It reminded me of the Crash Bandicoot racing game and a little bit of the Sonic racing game on the Wii. At the end of the day, it is a simple/basic racing game which is actually still fun to play!I personally like platformers and racing games. There is not a lot of different tracks (20 at most) and the soundtrack is poor (maybe 5 songs). I am happy than I bought this game for the Switch and kept playing MK8 on my Wii U instead of double dipping (basically for nothing) on MK8 for the Switch. The Switch still needs a REAL racing game like Need For Speed, Forza, Burnout and Grand Turismo. I personally do not consider gear club unlimited in the same category as those games... Expand

It`s an interesting game, for $10 it´s ok... I have had some crashes while playing and I can´t imagine Vector Unit fixing it... the game doesn´t have too many options for two players... could be way better

In the end, I’m quite mixed about Beach Buggy Racing. On one hand, there are enjoyable elements that I’d love other mascot racers to implement, such as the career mode’s mission structure and the characters’ unique abilities. On the other hand, the frustrating physics and screen tilting make gameplay less than ideal. In addition, the uninspired tracks, dull presentation, and lack of online play leave a lot to be desired. Nonetheless, Beach Buggy Racing is still a decent game that kids may enjoy. As a cheap alternative to the much more expensive Mario Kart, it offers more than its price suggests.

Beach Buggy Racing may be a winner on the mobile scene but on the Switch, it just doesn’t hold up.

Beach Buggy Racing is a decent kart-racer; the driving is fun, the items are bonkers, and you’ll likely be playing it for some time. Perhaps enjoyed best in small bursts, and without the expectation of it being a mega-serious racer, the game does offer some easy-to-play fun for both solo players and groups of family or friends. It can’t steal Mario Kart’s pole position and it suffers from a couple of little niggles but for a fraction of the price it does offer an acceptable alternative.
