Aviary Attorney is a funny and distinctly stylish game yet it owes Phoenix Wright a bit too much in residual cheques.

    An excellent narrative-driven game.
It is short at about 9 hours to complete and get all the medals, but it was well worth what I paid for.

The idea of a game based on defense lawyering in 1800s France is novel and it's a fun, whimsical homage to the Ace Attorney games. The original character art is by JJ Grandville, a French artist of the 19th century. It is quite charming to see his whimsical anthropomorphic animal illustrations brought to life in an engaging plot. I also enjoyed the soundtrack that included Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky. The game feels authentic to its setting while still being fresh.

Also, the dialogue is often witty and fun to read and the characters are well-written: for example, Cocorico the uptight prosecutor is introduced as a pretentious rival. However, through the events of the plot he becomes more humanised (despite being a rooster).

    Great stuff.
