No one could tell you didn't even own a Nintendo console, or had never played an exclusive game. Every positive retort could be used to make anyone who liked a Nintendo game seem like an overly-loyal fanboy. That was    Dear Review Bombers,

Every positive retort could be used to make anyone who liked a Nintendo game seem like an overly-loyal fanboy. That was 2008.

    It's now 2019 and you review-bombers have proven this art is now lost. The art of basement-dwelling reduced to mindless, rage induced by shoving a PS4 controller so far up your butt you can now press the buttons with your tongue. (I mean c'mon, with names like "PS3fan" and lines like "sony is best" you're not even trying...)

    Astral Chain is a great game. Running at 30FPS doesn't mean it deserves a zero score. To those who claim it's a button masher. Remember, that's the exact same thing you said when your little sister beat you in Street Fighter (*coughscrubcough*). It's accessible, with the opportunity to be incredibly deep as long as you have a base level or creativity. The story is pretty simple, but the characters are likable (anyone who doesn't like Marie doesn't have a soul). It's a good start to what hopefully spawns future, even better sequels.

    Also, Bayonetta 3 is right around the corner, review bombers so you have an opportunity to step up your game. Maybe you'll be able to do a Shoryuken with your tongue by then to counter the sweet spike kick that will be Bayo 3. Probably not though. cuz you know, you're pathetic and all...    … Expand

    Juegazo de Platinum Games!. Los gráficos y la jugabilidad están increíbles. Divertido y muy muy recomendable, valió la pena la compra.

    Llevo tres días enganchadisimo y con el juego totalmente avanzado, adicción pura. Junto con Bayonetta 2 y Nier Autómata es un top 3 de Platinum Games. La jugabilidad tremenda y trepidante marca de la casa con una variedad de misiones y de tipos de juego que hace de este un título en el que no te limitas tan solo a combatir y realizar combos, es algo más. Los que queremos la acciónLlevo tres días enganchadisimo y con el juego totalmente avanzado, adicción pura. Junto con Bayonetta 2 y Nier Autómata es un top 3 de Platinum Games. La jugabilidad tremenda y trepidante marca de la casa con una variedad de misiones y de tipos de juego que hace de este un título en el que no te limitas tan solo a combatir y realizar combos, es algo más.     I created an account to try to offset the ridiculous zero scores created by people that can't stand that switch actually has an awesome exclusive. The game is great and unique and if you own a switch you should buy it.

    I've been playing it for a while. It's an amazing game with amazing artstyles, visuals, gameplay and story. Giving it a 10 because of review bombing. This game is much better than a 6.1

    First, yes, i played the game, unlike those idiots giving it a 0 (disgusting other consoles fanboys childishly review bombing) or 10 for no serious reasons.
    Second, while the game isn't perfect technicaly speaking, it looks (good artstyle) and runs (stable 30 fps, with some rare drops to 27 fps at worse) fantastic, even without taking in account that it is a switch (for reminder, a    First, yes, i played the game, unlike those idiots giving it a 0 (disgusting other consoles fanboys childishly review bombing) or 10 for no serious reasons.

    Third, the story so far is good (i didn't finish it for now but i'm decently advanced) but i won't talk about it because don't wanna spoil.
    Fourth, NO, the 30 fps framerate doesn't impact the fluidity of the combat.
    Fifth, the combat itself is as good as you would except from a Platinum Games product : intense, with a deep complexity, the possibility of doing stylish combos as always. My only complain about this point is the foe locking that i don't know how to use without making the camera go crazy in a fight against multiple ennemis, especially flying ones. But maybe that's just because i'm really bad xD.
    Sixth, the gameplay diversity is dope, with the police cases that make you explore the various half-open places present in the game.

    In conclusion, a great (but not perfect, of course) action game, and a good addition to the now long list of Switch's classics.

    Sadly much members of the site that played Astral Chain give a ridiculous review for game. No game desierves one zero. But sadly there are haters and the fact that a game does not have a version for your console its enough for a bad review.

    What a fantastic game! Extremely stylish with varied, slick gameplay and awesome customization options. Most of the bad reviews seem to be from people who are mad it isn’t available on their platform- another testament to the quality of this game. Great work Platinum! And thank you Nintendo for supporting new IP.

In the era or remakes and remasters, platinum games coming through with an original IP with an amazing and innovative gameplay. the gameplay itself if enough as price of admission but platinum has gone up and beyond. From that day on - and as a move on Nintendo's part to increase sales - the console and Astral Chain will only cost $250 instead of $350. Not exactly cheap, but relatively speaking it's one hell of a steal. You people spend millions on DLC andTo all of you who are still grumbling about the game not being on PS4 -and I'm sure you people still exist - wait until the 20th of September. Sony is just a company that specializes in many things (not just games) represented by a logo that reads "SONY" in a fancy font. Sony cares about their millions -probably billions- of fans, but that's because they're their only source of income, not because they really do love them. They want to please them as much as they can to earn their money. The same can be said of all companies really; even Nintendo. Trying to review bomb the game now not only makes you look like fools, but it gives all companies involved a bad name.     Bayonetta 2 was nominated for GotY, showered with 10/10, and this game is even better. It has the amazing combat as expected, but a better story and more things to do than just fight. Haven’t come close to beating it but, my opinion isn’t going to change. The game is incredible. Another masterpiece from Platinum.     Astral Chain is such an amazing game because of how many risks it takes and how original it feels compared to other action games. The combat system is very unique since you can control two characters at once and rather than being combo heavy it is focused primarily on strategy and calculated movement of your legion. There's so many cool characters like Lappy and the Legions themselves haveAstral Chain is such an amazing game because of how many risks it takes and how original it feels compared to other action games. The game took the risk of not being 60 fps so it could have the graphics it's type of art style needs (also it's running on the switch so reaching 60 fps for this type of game is very difficult) Overall it's a very good game and I'm proud Nintendo and Platinum are making new IPs with so much personality and innovation and I hope this series is supported for a long time.… Expand

    Estoy realmente indignado por el como tuvieron que venir fanboys para bajarle la nota poniendole cero recalcando los 30fps y no haciendo una review sobre todos los puntos del juego (además se nota a kilometros que no han tocado el juego ni con un palo ), cuando es un juego que se merece muchisimo más . Pero claro , espero no ser el unico que denuncie esto , porque algunos de los que vinieron a bajarle la nota tienen un historial en darle malas notas a los juegos de nintendo pero buenas notas a los juegos de sony , que de algo estoy seguro es que si un nintendero va y le pone una nota mala a un juego de sony tiempo faltaría para tirarle mierda y decir luego que los nintenderos son los mas tóxicos como hacen muchos fanboys de sony en twitter.
    Ahora , en cuanto a los pros y contras del juego :
    Pros :
    -Gráficamente destaca en iluminación y espectacularidad de las escenas combate
    - Una historia buena tirando a normalita
    -Un framerate muy estable
    - Los combates son espectaculares
    - Escenarios muy logrados
    - Las batallas con los jefes son realmente buenas , ya ni hablar subiendole la didicultad , es espectacular
    - Una banda sonora realmente a la altura , muy disfrutable y que mantiene en tensión
    Cons :
    - A ALGUNAS misiones secundarias les ha faltado mas trabajo , algunas son muy buenas pero otras ni dan ganas de completarlas

    Y eso son los puntos que pude sacar jugando ya más de 10 hrs , es un juego realmente bueno , pero que se ve obstruido por ser de nintendo y digo eso porque los que vinieron a criticarlo usan como excusa lo de los 30 fps , si ven las reviews veran que como minimo mencionaran a nintendo y notaras como de alguna manera este juego ha sido afectado por estar relacionado a la compañía y por sus haters.    … Expand

    Unbelievably fun and unique, art/music/characters all wonderfully done, can see a lot of Yoko Taro influence in Tauro's work.

    Astral Chain consists of varied genres, but is mostly an action game, which has great ideas and interesting, relaxed humour, that doesn´t spoil its serious plot. [Issue#298]
