I am sorry but it is just not a good game. I love Platinum games and for me Nier Automata is the best game i ever played, but this....NO. It has too many mechanics, too much to control

One of the best games on Switch! Really cool cut scenes, a variety of action and characters that you empathize with throughout the game. Huge scope in terms of costomization and a large selection of skills. Character Design 10/10

Arte, história, trilha sonora, jogabilidade perfeitas. Pra quem é fã de DMC e possui um Nintendo Switch, é um jogo obrigatório. Jogo incrível e com post-game insano de difícil pra quem é hardcore!

The middle part of the gameplay for me was pretty dragging and uninteresting, but the opening 2 chapters and the last couple of chapters were experiences that I've never experienced when playing a video game. Great job Platinum Games, you have made yet another fantastic game.

Unbelievably innovative, endlessly entertaining. Platinum does it again. One of the best New IP this generation.

Es un excelente juego, me gustó mucho sus mecánicas de juego y la historia es entretenida, la temática de las legiones es algo muy bien implementado y estoy feliz de que logré lo que deseaba y es divertirme mucho, la estética es muy buena!

The fighting is really fun, thought sometimes the camera tends to move everywhere, making it hard to see what is going on around. The investigation part and side tasks sometimes feel too long

Platinum games are the best delevopers. Astral chain is in my top 5 games ever with nier automata and bayonetta 2. Music is one of best soundtracks with story and gameplay like bayonetta and nier. Masterpiece

This is with Nier Automata and Bayonetta 2 best games ever played. Story, soundtrack, gameplay, caracters and presetation are incredible. Platinum games are best delevopers and bring one of best soundtracks for every game. Go and buy this game if you like action games!

The gameplay is really good, elevating the lesser parts of the game. The story is Evangelion-lite and by the numbers. It sounds like I hate the game, but the truth is the gameplay really keeps me coming back for more... The sensation of wrapping monsters up in your chain and throwing yourself around is amazing, though not recommended on the standard Joy Cons as any normal sized hand will feel cramped. Expand

This game is among the best AAA titles I've ever played. The action is fun and intuitive, it uses a ton of stupid, fun melodramatic anime tropes. The difficulty curve is good (except for the second mission, which kind of sucked) and there's a wide variety of strategies and play styles.

The only issue is platforming. It sucks, plain and simple. It works fine on big platforms, but if you

The only issue is platforming. It sucks, plain and simple. It works fine on big platforms, but if you nudge the corner of an obstacle or if you are aiming for a small target you're screwed. On the bright side, it's almost never required to do the really hard platforming. If you are a completionist, get ready to fall off a lot of ledges though.

So in my experience the combination of fighting and detective work makes this game super fun.

What i don't like is the super complex combat system. it might be because i am a old school gamer and not used to bashing millions of buttons but it feels over complex ed. Graphics is superb considering this game runs on the switch. Sound track is epic . Best enjoyed with the pro

A fun action game with a weird amount of simplicity and complexity to the combat for a Platinum Game. The story, on purpose, is "Anime" dumb, but fun. It's packed with references to previous platinum games and anime throughout. The game is locked at 30 and that's probably one of my major gripes about this game, and the way the game looks is very interesting and Anime-Cyberpunk, etc. but itA fun action game with a weird amount of simplicity and complexity to the combat for a Platinum Game. The different perks you can give your legions (Evangelion-Stand) can be frustrating to manage or could not be there, but luckily there's a sort button and provides variety for other players. I wish I could go back to areas I've been to without having to go through a whole story mission again because there are a bunch that is very long depending if you talk to NPCs and side quests.
Overall it's another fun action game from platinum and there are moments, gameplay-wise, that reminds me of NieR Automata, mostly this was in the same develope and made by the same team from platinum.
Another few gripes I had were at least a jump that could be used for easier jump canceling moves besides the use of a legion.
An option for Blade with the Sword Legion, to be more similar to Rising, use Left stick to move the camera and swinging right stick to slash rather than a button press.
Maybe some fists weapons and option to aim with the pistol or better target much like in Bayo and DMC... maybe.
Customize the Other twin to match the Player's Character.
Those are just my nitpicks, but it's a good game. I'll be honest I haven't played Platinum Standard yet, I wanted to get a better understanding with the legion mechanic and have a reason to come back to play again besides playing as the other twin. I know there is a tone of goodies waiting to be unlocked.

Excellent graphics for a Nintendo Switch game. Gameplay is fun and the optional side missions make this a very entertaining game. The only drawback is that sometimes side missions take away from the continuity of the main story, otherwise it would be 10/10.

No spoilers here. I hope this game never goes to Sony’s Wokestation. This is an excellent game. The only thing that really gets me is, this could have easily been Bayonetta 3. Platinum Stars knocked it out of the park again.
What makes this so good? Well think of it this way: Bayonetta 1 and 2 + Neon Genesis + Detroit Become Human with a smidge of Pokémon a pinch of Hellraiser and a dash

Well think of it this way: Bayonetta 1 and 2 + Neon Genesis + Detroit Become Human with a smidge of Pokémon a pinch of Hellraiser and a dash of the original Judge Dredd movie = Astral Chain. I would give it a 10/10 but some of the commands in the game towards the end are slightly confusing to what the game expects you to do with a forced static camera angle. So it gets a 9.5 from me. I’ve already beat the game once and now I’m running through it again trying to find everything unlockable that I can. Im praying for a sequel

It also has a decent length with 20-30 hours for my playthrough.

Unfortunately while I really like the concept of the "detective work" in between fights the execution is really lack luster. Definitly a weak part of the game. Also the side characters are barely touched on and the story is confusing as hell.

There are so many great indie titles on the Switch that I’ve managed to avoid buying many full-priced titles so far. I’m so glad I picked up a copy of Astral Chain. I would recommend this without hesitation to anyone who enjoys action games. It’s dazzling to look at. The controls are deep but everything is rolled out in stages so it never seems overwhelming. It’s awesome.

Despite the hardware limitations and a handful of odd design choices, Astral Chain is one of the best new IPs to hit in recent years and one deserving the attention of every Switch owner.
