    Astral Chain Is an excellent new direction and IP showing how platinum can grow and an amazing action game for the switch. The dual combat is really unique and leads to tons of depth and potential with abilities, setups and a ton of potential. The world design is amazing with anime and cyberpunk like places in the arc that feel rich and fun to play in. This game has tons of content and variety with "cases" separation of combat and fun adventures really making you feel like a police officer. So many good elements like bosses, enemy design, style, fun quests and completion, motorcycle segments, the chill investigations and iris, the cats and toilets', the music being fantastic. This game is an absolute gem. While story craziness at end, and not as tight platforming elements and a few other elements like switch locked 30 fps could hold this back from perfection, it cant be overstated how much of a triumph this is. You can pet the beast legion! There is even an great challenge postgame with bosses and tough cases leading to one of the best secret and tough bosses I've fought ever. This game is special, Absolutely one of the best switch games of all time.… Expand

    Es un Juegazo, deleite visual. Una banda sonora atrapante. Que no te engañen los "ceros" que hayan aqui. Lo mejor es jugarlo y disfrutarlo de primera mano.

And with this game, I believe it takes all of that inspiration and evolves it into what we have now. This game is really good, The Characters, The Story, all pretty much flow very well.     Too much talking and tasks, wish it was more fights just like bayonetta.
    The camera not really good especially when I control the robot.

    Los diseños de los personajes de este juegos son sacados de un manga excelso, y los diseños de los legatus, DIOS! son lo mejor, son como pequeños Evas, de Neon Genesis Evangelion, un diseño    La mecánica de combate de este juego es ÚNICA e increíble, por lo cual vale su compra solo por este punto. Así también los demás personajes de la historia son uy carismáticos y con personalidades bien marcadas.
    En cuanto al apartado artistico y sonoro, en lo personal me parecio sobresaliente... pero solo las primeras horas, puesto que pasado un tiempo, la paleta de colores te satura y hace que los lugares donde se desarrolla la historia caigan en repetitivos o que se parezcan mucho, lo mismo con la música al pasar de las horas cansa un poco. No quiero que se mal entienda, los gráficos de este juego fácilmente están en el top de la Nintendo switch, pero mi critica va mas a lo artístico.

    Y por ultimo solo queda decir 2 cosas la primera y lo peor de este juego: las partes donde haces de detective, son lentas y repetitivas, pero puede que a alguien le guste esta mecánica; y el otro punto es el movimiento fuera de batalla, es un tanto ilógico, por que llega a ser muuuy torpe.

    Se que tal vez crees que merece una mejor calificacion, pero comparandolo con otros del catalogo de la switch y despues de rejugarlo 3 veces esa es una calificacion a mi parecer mas que acertada.    … Expand

    Great game! I thought the combat was new and interesting. It is hard to get used too, but thats because it controls like no other game. It makes you relearn gaming. Thats kind of Platinums niche, they make you feel like a kid again learning new things.

It felt like I was barely playing and more learning new things before I had truly gotten down the initial mechanics and it kind of just keeps giving you new stuff constantly when you don't feel comfortable with the old stuff. Then going through the game it doesn't feel necessary to even do the new stuff outside of S Ranks.

    Very fun though, just pacing was bit too much. I kind of like to get the grasp of the game and just go about playing. Simple but hard to master is ideal. This felt a bit convoluted or overdone. Then again would I have had the same feeling of learning and playing a fresh game if it wasn't introducing tons of new things? Maybe not!    … Expand

    This game is arguably one of the best titles the Switch has to offer. Incredible graphics for the console, amazing combat as per Platinum standards, an okay story, memorable characters... From start to finish it's a thrill ride and an emotional rollercoaster. From replaying files to doing the frankly enormous post game, there's a lot of replay value as well.     Visualmente impecable, artisticamente sublimeme... me encanta el diseño de enemigos y personajes principales.. una japonesada de aquellas..! a nivel jugable solo puedo decir que es el mejor HACK AND SLASH DE LA HISTORIA.. FACINANTE! GRANDE PLATINUM!!!

    The worst final boss I’ve had to fight in a long time, how this game is rated this high is beyond me
    And that’s not even mentioning how it’s a game based on giving you so many assets to use during combat, but damn near forces you to use the gun for so many of those combat situations. Disappointed.

    LOVED LOVED LOVED this game.

    Once you get the hang of the gameplay and the buttons (and there are a LOT of buttons in this) you'll fall in love with this game. The storyline is corny in places but ultimately you eventually do care for these characters.

    Didn't want it to end.

    I absolutly loved playing through this game, it is pure platnuim charm but with its own unique twist, i love the action gamplay being divided with detective work were you creatively use the same abilities for both action and detective work, also for a game that essentially only has 2 attack buttons their is a lot of variety in the gamplay. Other then that tho the gameplay, the set pieces, the variety, the shher ammount of secrets and secret bosses make me love this game regardless.… Expand

I'll start saying that I've completed most of the game, but not finished it. From the very beginning, the plot made absolutely no sense. So, you start working for the neuron unit and by your first mission you lose your commanding officer. It's more like he decides to suicide for no apparent reason. Then you get promoted to leader of your unit. Why?. There are more team members with much more experience than someone starting the job that very day. Nonsense. With respect to playability, this is just ok. I don't like the way the environments are restricted. You walk until you get a yellow horizontal line that appears preventing you from continuing. And this line appears when you are really close to the border of the area. There are even times when this visual notification is not appearing. The game just doesn't allow to continue through specific paths even though the way is absolutely clear from objects, and that's it. With respect to controls, at first I've found them complex, but as you play you get along with them pretty quickly. Maybe there are too many different actions available at combat. For me this is being in general an enjoyable game, but forgettable.… Expand

It was only upon playing Astral Chain that I realized one studio that I have severely overlooked. Platinum Games. After playing through Astral Chain, I’ve purchased all three Bayonetta games(paid $80 for Bayo 2), and Nier: Automata. This is all to say, Astral Chain is aTwo years ago, if you would have asked me who my favorite video game developer was, I would have to say BGS or Nintendo. It was only upon playing Astral Chain that I realized one studio that I have severely overlooked. Platinum Games. After playing through Astral Chain, I’ve purchased all three Bayonetta games(paid $80 for Bayo 2), and Nier: Automata. This is all to say, Astral Chain is a brilliant game that made me change my mind as to who my favorite developer was. Not is the story engaging and well voice-acted, the graphics are some of the best on Switch. A superb game that is a must-own for any Switch owner with an interest in action games.… Expand

So first what i want to admit excellent graphic quality (except absence of Anti-aliasing - all looks kinda too sharp) and art style that is some kind of cyber or future punk.     This is a full action game. I'm really impressed by how PlatinumGames managed to make a game full of action where you control two characters at the same time and you only have to press few buttoms. It's just crazy. One of the best game-plays of all the games in Switch. Also the characters and overall design is gorgeus. It's a must-play on the platform.

    A mi parecer de los TOP 5 juegos de la Nintendo Switch, la atmosfera Cyberpunk es buena, la jugabilidad es increible, combinar los Legions y hacer combos es divertido, los personajes tienen un fenomenal diseño, y que se puede decir de la música es adictiva, tanto el soundtrack como la música con letra.

    Incredible music and gameplay, very stylish combat. The visuals are just gorgeous, absolutely amazing for the Nintendo Switch. I liked the Story a lot. I have to emphasize on the music, this game's OST is just a masterpiece.

    The coolest animation on a game. Feels so weird that the game captivate me with its running animation. It's just an animation, come on.

    The combat moves also feels so slick and awesome. Although most of it is just smashing button but the game provide a more in-depth kind of move-set and combo that you can learn and make the combat more engaging(?) I guess.     The exploration is decent, not really that great but good enough to make you attach with certain chapters. The game design is good so you won't get lost while exploring the area but you might miss out several side quests because some of them not live on the map.

    That being said, I understand why some people said its getting pretty tedious as I feel the same way. As you progress in the game, exploring feels more like a chore rather than you explore out of your own curiosity. When in combat, the game always throw you to red places (never pay attention to the naming of that place) which feels that you always keep repeating the combat again and again even thou you are fighting a different monsters in every chapters.

    The rest of it is fine but why every developers follow that kind of trend where the protagonist can't talk? Is it to make it feels like we are them so we can make our own reaction or response to certain situation in the game?

    Finish the game and I don't think I will replay or even revisit every chapter to complete it.    … Expand

Platinum games does a very good job developing a system that rewards players for perfecting the game/combat. I’m not into fighting combat perfectly—I just want to fight. Platinum games does a very good job developing a system that rewards players for perfecting the game/combat. I’m not into fighting combat perfectly—I just want to fight. And the game had plenty of satisfying mechanics and fights in it. My biggest complaint is how the other dimension looked. The color hurt my eyes and there was little variation in color as I had to puzzle my way through an ugly dimension.

    I was slightly disappointed by the detective side of things since quests felt run of the mill. A good sort of standard, but nothing spectacular. Even then, I can’t hate it because it gave a nice change of pace from the action. This game was a well designed game, through and through—it just didn’t click with me.

    I highly recommend Platinum Games (which includes Astral Chain) if you like a beat em up game with a skill ceiling that rates your progress.    … Expand

Great gameplay and music, and a very distinct visual style, but this is the kind of game that absolutely NEEDED to have the time to tell its story, which it just did not have.     Astral chain is one of the best-performing games and is in the underrated game lines of the Switch. Great and unique action gameplay, great visuals, and good performance make it an all-around good experience for any switch player. The only thing is that its story may seem a little rushed by the end but the game is still worth the time and money just for the great action experience

The Story is basically about the character you don’t choose and because you’re character shows no emotion whatsoever er really ruins the few good story elements this game has one time the sibling of your character gets critically injured and is just completely unfazed even though the story tells you they care about each other. The combat can be fun but most of the time it isn’t especially on higher difficulties you the only thing you can do is spam the doge button and let your legion attack. The boss fights are mostly waiting for a boss to come out of his invincibility so you can stun him. The maps all look really similar except one,the final mission even reuses the opening of the game and makes it less fun. I wouldn’t recommend buying this game for full price 60€ is way to much , if it’s on sale and costs less then 15€ I would say go for it because the early game is kind of fun… Expand

    A masterpiece! You have a switch? You want action? Buy this game! It deserves all the love and respect. A lot of games on switch falls short compared to Astral Chain. Nice graphics nice sounds nice combat nice everything. We need more games like this.

    One of my favorite switch game, the combat system is top tier. My only complaint is the camera angle sometime is really annoying, and there is no jump button but you will get used to it.

    Most overrated game on Metacritic, probably.

    - Story gets only told via text documents and still many things won't get explained.

    - Silent protagonist ist super pointless in this scenario.

    - Camera movement is borderline broken.

    - Fight-System is okay and sometimes fun.

    - Graphics are very good for a Switch game.

    This game does a lot exceptionally well, but sometimes it feels like it’s doing too much to the point where it seems to have an identity crisis. To start with the strengths: the graphics are fantastic, especially considering it’s on the Switch. The art design is really cool, and everything in the game has a truly unique feeling that it’s hard to compare anything else to it. The art design is really cool, and everything in the game has a truly unique feeling that it’s hard to compare anything else to it. The environments look good, the aesthetics look good, and while the enemies look good, they feel a little bit like random/generic. The music is fantastic and very creative use of a soundtrack. I would have never considered to use all of these styles of songs on one soundtrack, but they pulled it off perfectly. Everything from the smooth techno of the precinct, to the low tuned background guitar while exploring the city, to the hard rock during combat. The sound design is one of the things that stand out the most about this game. The overarching plot isn’t anything special, but the setting of the world is extremely cool. Playing as a supernatural police officer who uses astral ghosts as weapons that are not observable to most others - super awesome concept.

    The gameplay is good and engaging while in combat. It starts slow, but as you unlock more summons and more abilities, it really makes it very involved. It’s pretty unique controlling both your character and your summon at once, especially in a twin stick control layout. It works well, despite it being a bit overwhelming sometimes. However, the detective part of the game is where I found it to be very weak. It’s nice because it gracefully adds context to what is happening, but it completely ruins the pacing. 15 minutes of action hack and slash immediately followed up by 30 minutes of walking around and talking to witnesses, trying to find the one clue that is tucked away in the one spot you didn’t look. This is the identity crisis I was referring to. As much as I enjoyed it, I had a hard time really getting focused on the game because it would fluctuate between two vastly different play styles. That and it constantly tried to sneak in RPG elements, but they were so minor that I often forgot about them. For example after an hour long mission of rotating between detective gameplay, platforming gameplay, and combat gameplay, it takes you back to the precinct where you can level up - I completely forgot to do this between most missions because it felt like something that was an afterthought, rather than a core feature of the game. This is what kept me from scoring the game higher. I have been playing ASTRAL CHAIN, and it's great from start to finish; the graphics of the game is stylish; the anime art style is great; the music of the game is the best that Platinum games ever made; the most innovative mechanic in a hack and slash game ever since dodge offset made famous by Bayonetta, and the overall tone of the game is a cyberpunk anime; buy the game for all hack and slash players who have a Switch to play it. The only bad thing about the game that makes it a 9, in my opinion, is that you can't jump freely without your Legion, which is frustrating: other stuff like your protagonist being lifeless, which is very not Platinum games inc. to me and other fans of Platinum work like Bayonetta and the ending of the story is a bit anticlimactic, and yeah the story is not great, but it doesn't hurt the experience and the score of the game because it's not the point of hack and slash games, right?, but yeah, and also I am going to complete it someday, and completing the game is quite long, but still fun!!!… Expand

The combat as passable at the best, exasperating and chaotic at the worst. The game mechanics feel more "everything but the sink" than designed with any sense of intention or direction. Traversal is a hassle. The controls include motion controls that cannot be disabled from the in-game menus, which disrupts aiming on more than frequent occasions. The level-design is uninspired, and the dungeons suffer the same issue as Dragon Age 2. The script is weak, and the plot weaker, clearly clinging on hopes that players will be appeased by references and allusions to original (and far better) content.

    The game for its graphics and performance is super solid. Its a very beautifully crafted game but it doesn't really teach you much before jumping you right into the actions. The storyline itself is decent or maybe even pretty good but nothing to brag about really.

The setting of the game is really great and has great world-building. The dimensional jumping is very cool and gives this game a great spectical. In conclusion, this is a must-play Switch exclusive!

    Astral Chain is definitely one of the top 5 Switch games available for the platform. Also one of Platinum Games best titles to date. There is little to no flaw with this game. Any Switch owner needs to have this game in their collection. Everything from graphics, sound, story (very anime, but good), controls, fun factor, gameplay, etc. This game delivers with such polish and high quality.

    I started this game and it was really exciting but also so forgettable. I played about am hour and then forgot about it. I do this about every 6 months. I play it and then lose any interest to put it on again.

    Astral Chain is a mix between Bayonetta and JoJo, and it works out amazing. The combat is very unique and I love the aesthetic of the world. However, the story is boring and the framerate drops make the combat worse than it could be.

    Great game. Loved every minute of it. The combat is something you have to get used to, but when you do, oh, it pays off big time. Interesting story, twists and turns, all the good stuff. GET IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT. Took me 27 hours to beat.

    PROS:
    - I personally like the combat system and gameplay, if there was enough action in the game
    - Graphically it looks very original and well presented (I just think it was a silly idea to make this around COPS, yes you are a cop)

    CONS:
    - I absolutely hated the endless and LAZY chores you have to go through, the side quests are not enjoyable or entertaining AT ALL.
    - The map system fails very often and you get to be lost very easily while doing stupid chores (not fun at all), on top of it the character cannot jump, or get through little babies obstacles, making it even more frustrating.
    - Most of the game you will be talking to NPC's and completing boring tasks and then all of the sudden you fight a boss for 3 minutes, then you start another stupid quest-chore that will take 30-60 minutes and then start another loop of silly quest, gathering clues and other stuff that really takes away the fun, to the point that it makes you regret the purchase. This game is freaking $59.99! I wouldn't even pay $5 to "play" this so called "gem"
    - I'm OK with linear games, but this one is linear and BORING, don't expect to have freedom at all.
    - Characters are not mesmerising not memorable at all, in fact, many of them are annoying, predictable and scripted.
    - You get to have limited customization but most of the items are useless, I completed perhaps half of the game, gotten all the legions and got a lot of items stored that really are not essential to fight battles like you did in Nier Automata or great games like The Witcher series. Besides the methods to use/equip items is very irritating.
    - It gets old VERY FAST, you may feel it is cool the first few days but you will get bored fast.
    - Oh boy the story is utterly predictable not memorable and 0% exciting.
    - NO REPLAYIBILITY - I came to the conclusion that I'm playing this crap just because, but definitely wouldn't play it again nor getting any expansion if there will be any.

    All in all, do yourself a favour and save $59.99, you can get like 5 better games in the Nintendo's Great Deals library. By the way, this is my first review here, to give you an idea of how much I hated it, maybe it helps someone save money and most importantly YOUR TIME. I still do not understand why and how this game gained such good scores, I would give it a generous 2 out of 10.

After the prologue that introduces you to this post-apocalyptic world and its colorful cast ofYour adventure begins just after you pick a male or female-presenting protagonist, then you’re prompted to a highly stylized and pretty good-looking motorcycle stage to finally hack and slash your way on foot through streets filled with Chimeras. It is a solid kick-off to a mostly solid game. After the prologue that introduces you to this post-apocalyptic world and its colorful cast of characters, the story develops slowly between 11 chapters. The story has its twists and turns but overall has a good flow that focuses on an event for every chapter to finally tie in with the main narrative. It is not the most groundbreaking story that you’ll encounter but it is pretty interesting and the writers made the right call of keeping it more personal and expanding it with the grander-than-life events that happen in later chapters. Platinum doesn't shy away from doing stories with darker tones, but I think that after working alongside Drakengard and NieR Director/Writer Yoko Taro they got somewhat influenced by his style of writing.

    The real meat, bones, and metal of Astral Chain is its fast pacing yet simple combat. Similar to other action games like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry your character delivers fast and devastating combos with different combinations, the unique feature of Astral Chain that differentiates itself from other games of the genre is the Legion system. Aside from your character, you can summon a Legion that will attack any enemy that you're targeting and move on their own to the next target till they're eliminated.

    In RPG-like fashion, Legions come in the variety of melee, ranged, and tank, they can be upgraded and equipped with different abilities and skills that can be easily adapted to your playstyle, this Legion system compensates the otherwise simple combat as you only have one attack button and that's all. What makes the combat so addicting and rewarding are the Sync Attacks, after you complete a fixed chain of attacks with your weapon of use everything will slow down by a fraction of a second and you'll be prompted to press the Legion summoning button to do a powerful attack, these synced attacks can also be triggered by evading and when meeting certain conditions if you keep upgrading a Legion.

    While the focus of the game is the action parts of it, it has some variety that comes with side questing and puzzle-solving, this could be a matter of taste but not doing combat could be either a hit or a miss, as it might spice things a little at the cost of feeling a little like an obstacle to its "true" gameplay. For the most part, side-quests are fun to do even when many of them don't aport much to the story, so pacing for every chapter will definitely be benefited by omitting investigations and just let you chose freely to hunt down quests or go straight down to the main story.

    When you inevitable arrive at the Astral Plane you'll be entering the puzzle parts of the game, these parts have some reminiscence of the shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but mostly on an aesthetic level, as its puzzles aren't as deep, they tend to be more in the vein of God of War games, where you need to push a block or hit different targets at once without thinking too much.

    Hidden in the options Astral Chain gives you the possibility of splitting the Joycons and play it co-op, I don't know if the dynamic between twin and Legion change or if you can play with two Pro controllers (a scheme which I highly recommend as maneuvering your character and Legion at the same time can feel a little bit uncomfortable with the Joycons) as I couldn't test any of this by myself, but it surely is a pretty nice addition that in a way feels like an old school hidden option of the SNES era.

    After finishing Astral Chain I was pretty happy with the time I had while playing it, it was satisfying, fast-paced and for the most time, it was fun. If I was required to condense the feeling of the game it will be "Heavy Metal the game". It is not perfect but it is undoubtedly a great game, in more than a way it feels like a culmination of Platinum gameplay, mechanics, storytelling, and art direction. In terms of gameplay, it doesn't reach the finesse of the likes of Bayonetta but it is still a blast to have. Playing this in 2021 and not when it came up, make me feel a little guilty, Hack and Slash games aren't as popular as before, so bad sales could destroy a potentially great follow-up to a game.    … Expand

    Graphics might be the only thing half good but then IRIS mode turns everything gray and destroys it.
    Game-play is very repetitive, you go to town, clear streets find chests to get items that most of which will disappear at the end of level. Do side quests that are completely pointless and boring like carrying boxes without dropping them(Hello I have a few Legions that can help with it). Find the dungeon entrance go into it to fight monsters and kill the boss . This will progress the story by mostly saying new monster gets sighted we should go check it out and repeat the process. If there was any character or combat progression it might not have been that bad but combat wise there is barely any difference between chapter 3 and chapter 8. You get a couple of more legions that you barely use, that is pretty much it.
    I must be around %75 of the game I wanted to push it to the end but it feels more like a torture at this point and I am not even curious about the ending so I gave up.    … Expand

    Juegazo de principio a fin, recomendado para todos aquellos amantes del género, menuda maravilla. La única pega es que en ciertos mapas quizás deberían haber puesto más libertad o más espacioso pero lo demás 10/10. Postgame bueno para echar otras decenas de horas.

    I really, really, really, REALLY, wanted to like this game. I tried to with every fiber of my being. But every waking moment of this thing is begging you to hate it. I know this review will be downvoted to oblivion, but I can't just let this slide.

    PROS: -very unique and interesting legion system -music is over-the-top, but great ...and that's it. CONS -corny, campy, and    I really, really, really, REALLY, wanted to like this game. I tried to with every fiber of my being. But every waking moment of this thing is begging you to hate it. I know this review will be downvoted to oblivion, but I can't just let this slide.

    PROS:
    -very unique and interesting legion system
    -music is over-the-top, but great

    ...and that's it.

    CONS
    -corny, campy, and predictable story. you know who the final bad guy is the very moment he delivers his very first line.

    -atrocious, borderline ironic english voice acting and mocap

    -visual diarrhea of nauseating particle effects

    -no freaking reduced-graphics-60-fps option for such a fast-paced and demanding game

    -legion system is incredibly clunky and clumsy; you will spam legion abilities and ride your dog and axe, and that's it.

    -absolute chaos on screen all the time, resulting in devs having to dumb it down with constant slow-mo moments

    -horrible checkpoints, forcing you to replay cutscenes and battles you've already beaten. no, not all cutscenes can be skipped.

    -IRIS STARTING. IRIS SHUT OFF. INFORMATION DISPLAY. AD INFINITUM.

    -annoying time-wasting detective sequences.

    -incredibly insulting time-wasting blue quests

    -female faces look incredibly gross and alien, with overly large heads and bug-like eyes, meanwhile, the guy models, olivia, and brenda are normal-looking? why??? make them all normal!

    -incredibly overly long mission structure with truly awful time-wasting blue quests and red quests, making it an absolute chore to get S+ rank. it wasn't great in nier automata, it's not great here. (but nier is an infinitely superior game and story).

    -brain-dead gold slime encounters - you figured it out once, it's all the same per mission
    -awfully bloated with very little substance in terms of gameplay and story (cats and toilets? really??). blue and red quests are amazingly meaningless.

    -baffling time-wasting mini-tasks like healing red shift, catching running bad guys, picking up red matter, eavesdropping, etc.

    -absolutely annoying and clunky platforming with annoying "cool" recovery cutscene that is un-skippable; plus, recovery takes you to some random predetermined point instead of where you fell, making it super disorienting to retrace your steps, especially in the same-y astral plane

    -astral plane is just recycled red blocks, masquerading as new levels, like we wouldn't notice

    -mission progress resets every time you replay it, forcing you to do all the time-wasting activities all over again. why??? what???

    an incredibly poor showing by the devs. they only got away with it cause 3rd action rpgs are few in the Switch market.

    and yet, i'm in the minority...so, hurray for astral chain 2?    … Expand

    I felt that my time spent on the Astral Chain was worth it as it was a thrilling experience as it had a unique combat system that never felt repetitive which I enjoyed. It also had a well-crafted world with likeable developed characters as well as beautiful art style and graphics. It has been a while since an action game has left such a positive impression that I sometimes reminisce on it.

    El juego es muy bueno, para mí, es de lo mejor que he jugado en Switch, el gameplay está muy pulido y es muy frenético en las zonas de batalla, pues cada legión tiene sus usos y enfoques específicos, tu tarea es saber usar cada una en su momento debido y de forma coordinada, y todo acompañado de un buen diseño de personajes, enemigos variados, música decente, etc.

    He visto que hay gente    El juego es muy bueno, para mí, es de lo mejor que he jugado en Switch, el gameplay está muy pulido y es muy frenético en las zonas de batalla, pues cada legión tiene sus usos y enfoques específicos, tu tarea es saber usar cada una en su momento debido y de forma coordinada, y todo acompañado de un buen diseño de personajes, enemigos variados, música decente, etc.

    He visto que hay gente que le molesta las misiones secundarias, siendo sincero, no son la gran cosa, pero tampoco lo pondría como algo negativo como algunos hacen ver, en mi opinión son entretenidas. También he visto quejas del plano astral, pues es poco variado, y eso no lo voy a negar, pues la estética casi no tiene variación, pero yo me enfoqué en otra cosa, y es que los mejores puzzles se encuentran ahí.

    Si te interesa un juego difícil, yo recomendaría subir la dificultad desde el inicio, pues creo que no es tan retante si lo comparamos con otros juegos, como Bayonetta, al menos en las misiones principales, pues el juego cuenta con misiones al terminar el juego que no son difíciles, son lo siguiente.

    Este es el primer "análisis" que hago aquí, y es debido a que me hubiera gustado que este juego tuviera más éxito, que más gente descubra y juegue algo que a mí me gustó tanto, así que si tienes duda si jugarlo o no, si te llama cualquier cosa del juego, lánzate directo, te prometo que eso que te llama la atención, ya sea gameplay, ambientación o diseño, va a ser lo que piensas y más.    … Expand

Some Dicc named Nicc said this game was I dunno and I was like **** it's dumb anime stuff you weeb!" and he was like "I'll give you a copy dumb jewish human" and I was like "fine" then he came and kept his copy and then made a baby with my dog. Weird day but yk not bad still DNF was better.

    Overall, I enjoyed this game, one of my favourties on the switch! Although the story is a bit generic I really liked it and if this is a con to some, its made up by the enjoyable combat which is accessible for all players in terms of difficulty, the fast paced action gameplay and cutscenes, the music, the futuristic cyberpunk visuals and the character customisation options. I did like theOverall, I enjoyed this game, one of my favourties on the switch! Although the story is a bit generic I really liked it and if this is a con to some, its made up by the enjoyable combat which is accessible for all players in terms of difficulty, the fast paced action gameplay and cutscenes, the music, the futuristic cyberpunk visuals and the character customisation options.     Astral Chain es un Hack and slash diferente al resto, el hecho de tener que controlar a dos personajes de manera simultanea y conseguir una simbiosis entre ambos, aparta un toque diferente para un género que parece que está todo inventado.
    Uno de los must para todo poseedor de una Nintendo Switch, poco bombo se le ha dado para el juegazo que es.

I found the investigation activities to be pretty boring. I just wanted to get through them to get to more action. This is not the constant action of Bayonetta.     - complex combat system
    - very action packed but not the typical buttom masher
    - great eye for details in the surrounding world
    - the city feels very much alive
    - interesting story
    - great and epic boss battles

    Cons:
    - 30 fps
    - most sidequests are boring

    Verdict:
    The true nature of this title is a wonderfully made action game. It has everything I asked/hoped for and even more.
    The boss battles are well directed and challenging. The city feels very much alive and the scenery is just beautiful and eye-pleasing.
    To me this game is one of the best games I've played in a long time and I hope for a sequel.
    The only downside I can see is the 30fps the game is running on. While I dont recognize it all the time, on rare occasions I had the feeling that I saw some frame drops but it was really minor.
    If you are into action games and loved Nier:Automata and Bayonetta, you for sure will love this game to death.
    Iif you asked yourself if you should buy this game, at least I can highly recommend it at this point of time.    … Expand

    Loving this game as I love most Platinum games . Only downside is that I felt the story could have been a little stronger . Graphics are really awesome . If you are a fan of Bayonetta or any game like that you will like this game . It’s challenging as heck and the music is pretty freakin awesome

    boring, combat is a joke, music is awful and repetitive, designed to put you to sleep, just like the rest of the game. couldn't care less about any of the characters or their motivations, this just feels really half @$$ed honestly. i'm done after a couple hours. I can't believe how much money they're asking for this. unbelievable. I've never had a more boring gaming experience in my life.
