    I am very surprised that i haven't review this game yet when i just beat it 1 month ago, but what can i say about this game. Well, this game is perfection in every detail: music, story, gameplay, graphics... The people in Platinum Games are really masterminds, i'm so ready for what's next from them.

    La verdad es que nunca uso esa página ni pongo reviews porque acabo de mala leche ante la estulticia que demuestra una parte de los usuarios de la misma.     If Deus Ex and Bayonetta had a baby. If you enjoyed previous Platinum games, you’ll enjoy this one too. I was really surprised how good it looks and plays. Saying that, I really don’t understand why this game was so heavily bombed with negative reviews. Because it’s Switch exclusive? Grow up people.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I received this game for a late birthday present for a friend and this game is an absolute masterpiece. I originally wrote this on mobile, so now I can fully explain my reasoning to why this game is so amazing..

    First off the visual details. This game does not try to be the most graphically impressive game out there. It doesn't NEED to be either. Everything is done with an artistic flair that many games nowadays opt out of in favor of a more realistic approach which kind of stifles creativity. This is why games like Pokémon, Dragon quest, and a few choice other RPG's don't go for a realistic approach but for an artistic one, and this artistic design really makes a difference in terms of visual appeal for someone playing for long periods of time.

    Secondly is the story. While maybe not as in depth and deep as something like say Devil May Cry which has been a video game cultural icon for over what...15 to 20 years now? But it doesn't have to be either. It's a new IP drawing from the experience of the developers of Bayonetta and Nier Automata, both games that have received great praise from players the world over. And it takes those ideas, flips them on their heads and gives you a compelling story that drives you into wanting to find out more about the world surrounding Astral Chain.

    Lastly I'd like to note the gameplay. You'd probably think "Oh it's bayonetta" but really it's not. It has more depth than the Bayonetta series and yet also remains more simplistic. You control your protagonist character/Akira whichever Gender you decide to pick, and the controls feel fluid, the attack is kind of something you adjust to as it's basically ZR, but it's not a game breaker. Holding ZL and the Right stick, shifts control from the camera to your Legion, which is basically your secondary character which remains with you throughout the game. Think of it kind of like your Persona in that it's linked to you, but it's got a much more versatile set of uses that you can take advantage of in game. From jumping platforms which while I wish there was a dedicated jump button I'm not upset with this different mechanic, it makes you feel like the character is more human than other video game characters of the same genre, so what's wrong with needing a little help across a five foot or ten foot gap? Another useful little mechanic is the chain which binds the Legion to you, and this can be used to parkour around the stage, or even bind an enemy for a short time to deliver a flurry of attacks while they're vulnerable. You can also use that chain as a sort of bungie cord to repel enemies back when they try to ram right into you. Mechanics honestly that I never thought would work in a video game but Astral Chain achieves this in ways that make the game feel fluid, more natural.

    Overall I'd say that this game is a must buy for any Switch Owner who loves the game genre's of Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, because it builds on and improves the fluidity of the gameplay of those games and puts us in a right step to where I think the genre could become much more open to the more inexperienced players that find Devil May Cry just a bit daunting.

    I give this game a perfect 10 because I haven't played a game on the Switch this much since a game's release since Breath of the Wild. So if you have a Nintendo Switch and you're on the fence...I personally think that you should at least give the game a shot. It's definitely worth the money that they're asking for.    … Expand

    This game is pretty much one of the highlights this year... it may be my favorite game next to Three Houses and Devil May Cry 5 this year.

    If you are a Fan of a fast paced Bayonetta like game then you are really well served with this game. The variety of combos and fighting possibilities with all your Legions and your Weapons are pretty cool. Everything works out well... the Graphics,    This game is pretty much one of the highlights this year... it may be my favorite game next to Three Houses and Devil May Cry 5 this year.

    10/10 game, this game is a masterpiece except for 1 Con, and that is 30 fps, other than that I would rate this on equal terms as Nier:Automata and below Bayonetta, Platinum are gonna need to do something special to outdo this game with bayonetta 3

    I've played this game for like 8 hours and it is already one of the best platinum games to date.

    The game starts slow: they even take away part of your moveset and it feels a bit simple at the start, but oh boy, if the game doesn't pick up after 1 hour, and it gets better and more complex, every 2 hours.

    The cop investigations, the details, the secrets, this game is worth every dollar.

    As for graphics and technical issues, it's not perfect, but who cares if this is fun for you? And yet, as I said at the beginning it is majestic. You do not need 60 FPS is perfect at 30 since it combines barios genres apart from Hack and Slash. As research roles, platforms, puzzles and others.

    A must buy for any Switch user and finally I want to congratulate the Metacritic Page for having seen the wave of stupidity that flooded the reviews putting zero rating to this title just for not appearing in his beloved and overrated PS4.     Teniendo en cuenta el Hardware de Switch su apartado artístico y grafico es simplemente de 10, innovador, fresco y atractivo es justamente lo que hacía falta en el género de las Hack and slash de un tiempo para acá.
    Seguramente ya hay mil reseñas y análisis por doquier, pero yo quiero hablar de algo que no muy a menudo se comenta en estos análisis,
    La diversión.
    Es un juego sumamente adictivo y divertido, que te engancha desde el primer momento y te invita a seguir adelante con su historia que si bien es cierto tiene algunos clichés. Es sumamente entretenida y divertida, personajes carismáticos que te llenan de risas en sus momentos de fama y ciertamente desarrollas empatía por ellos.
    En cuanto a gráficos y cuestiones técnicas no es perfecto, pero ¿a quien le importa si esto te divierte? Y aun, así como dije al principio es majestuoso. No necesita 60 FPS está perfecto a 30 ya que combina barios géneros aparte del Hack and Slash. Como roles de investigación, plataformas, puzles y demás.

    Una compra obligada para cualquier usuario de Switch y para terminar quiero dar mis Felicitaciones a la Página de Metacritic por haber visto la oleada de estupidez que inundo las reseñas poniendo cero de calificación a este título solo por no aparecer en su amado y sobrevalorado PS4. ¿tan difícil es jugar y dejar jugar a los demás?     I was super lucky to get my copy a day early... I have played it for hours now. It is a truly amazing experience. Action games in general struggle to find a mechanic that makes it stand out from other games, this isn't one of those scenarios. Fighting with your legion makes you feel so clever and epic with the amount of potential moves. It's unique, bold and creative. It is also way slowerI was super lucky to get my copy a day early... I have played it for hours now. It is a truly amazing experience. Action games in general struggle to find a mechanic that makes it stand out from other games, this isn't one of those scenarios. Fighting with your legion makes you feel so clever and epic with the amount of potential moves. It's unique, bold and creative. It is also way slower in terms of combat pacing, compared to Bayonetta for example. But this is far from a bad thing, I actually personally prefer it. The visual design is stunning, the muisc is the birth child of a Bayonetta and Nier hybrid, there's plenty to do in terms of content, combat rarely gets boring, even outside of combat there is still a lot to enjoy such as customisation, collectables, investigations. I can't sing this games praises enough. Its probably my favourite game of 2019 so far.… Expand

    Super game. Really love adventure fighting games since childhood. The cyberpunk world is perfect, combat system awesome. Really in last god of war game I like the combat less. The combat mechanics incredibly interesting Story is also good. Switch is perfect console returns me to my childhood of nes. I love ps4 games but switch last two years produce high quality exclusives

    It is a great game with good graphics and fluid gameplay.
    Filled with action and great side missions that trigger the completionist in me.     This is an EXCELLENT game, probably Platinum games’ best! There are haters on here review bombing this game cuz it’s a switch exclusive, but don’t believe it. It’s a fantastic game. Believe the critic reviews on this one. Not the “user” reviews. Most of the negatives don’t even own a switch. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO GET THIS GAME!

    Amazing game, fast paced, some well adjusted slow levels, incredible graphics, fun combat, great world building. One of the newest additions to the "must have" switch titles. Dont listen to the negative reviewers, people are mad the game is switch exclusive.

    I was excited for this game since its reveal and platinum games outdid themselves for this game. The combat is very strategic with how you fight and very different from bayonetta and nier automata. combat is very flowing and there is a lot of strategizing that goes into combat.     The story is also very engaging and very enjoyable with things that i did not expect. I do wish the main character spoke but thats so minor in the grand scheme of this game.

    This game exceeded my expectations and has a ton of content along with a ton of gameplay elements and a good story. They made an excellent game and i cant wait for them to follow this up with a hopeful sequel.    … Expand

    One second in the game and I have already the fun of my life. Art sytle and the grapic look really good for a game and the story is interesting too. But the best thing is the gameplay. I have so much fun with it.

    Aside from a sometimes repetitive combat system, Astral Chain’s combat is simple but a visually spectacular scene. The controls are easy to get used to. It’s platforming and traversal is for the most part interesting and easy aside from chain jumping which sometimes leads to falling to your death.     Great game, whit pretty new mechanics, not your ordinary hack n slash, one of the beat Switch exclusives, pretty solid 30FPS and awesome art. I dont want to spoil anybody but the plot twist it's very exciting

    Uno de los 3 mejores juegos de nintendo este año, sino el mejor, apartado tecnico impresionante. Diria que ahoramismo tiene el techo de la consola. Jugabilidad de 10, como era de esperar viniendo de platinums games.

    I see many people giving the game a 0 because of the graphics and how it's worse than Bayonetta but in my opinion the game is very pretty. I have seen better graphics but that doesn't discount the look of the game being good. I haven't played Bayonetta but I am loving the gameplay and combos. I'm not very good yet but I'm having fun none the less.

    The game is immensely entertaining, music is wonderful, the art is very good and really gives this game a beautiful look while running very well on Nintendo Switch at the same time. Such a worthy action game.

The bosses of this game are fun and provide just the right amount of challenge (if you’re playing on Pt Standard) and it’s very satisfying once you beat them. As far as story goes, I think it’s a bit mediocre and cliche, but it’s far from the worst thing ever. Some characters are cool in my opinion, like a couple of the neuron officers, Hal, and the Hermits, but the rest of the characters would benefit more from better writing like Yoseph and Jenna. Aside from a few character and story issues, this this a pretty high quality game, is very fun to play, and I could tell that a lot of time and dedication was put into this game.… Expand

    Es excelente, en todo sentido, y eso que jugue al Nier Automata y DMC5 en ps4 pero este juego esta mucho mas pulido y trabajado. El sistema de combate es la mezcla perfecta de los juegos de platinum.
