A decent reintepretation of an arcade classic that shines for the single-player Neo mode. Multiplayer options seem tacky and are not very convincing.

Arkanoid Eternal Battle is an approachable game that delivers some timeless fun. But much like Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, it’s another Taito arcade classic that’s taken one step forward, two steps back. It brings less content to the table while asking for more money from the players. With online being something of a ghost town, I suggest waiting for a price reduction.

Even if old players are the target, Arkanoid Eternal Battle will still appeal to younger generations thanks to the competitive mode. Battle Royale-style kills and a 25-player cap ensure fast, hassle-free games. It is however very regrettable that the servers are so empty, and that we suddenly find ourselves facing AI rather than real players.

I bought this game the first day it came out. It's not a complicated game, but it is very hard to put it down when you are playing. I findI bought this game the first day it came out. It's not a complicated game, but it is very hard to put it down when you are playing. I find myself saying 'one more round', and then it's an hour later. I wish more people would play for the online battles.

The way the power ups and scoring is explained is not great, but you can google it or pause the game. Otherwise, I really like this game, and if you like classic arcade style fun, you should easily get 10-20 hours plus with this purchase.
