    Aquarist on the Nintendo Switch is a pleasant and relaxing aquarium simulator with clunky controls, bad visuals, and an overall lack of story context. If you’re in the mood for something like it, I recommend being very cautious or just playing the PC version instead.

    Relaxing, involving, and well-paced, Aquarist could use a slicker audiovisual environment and sharper controls, but overall, this is a rewarding experience for those who enjoy interacting with marine worlds.

    Overall, Aquarist is a solid business simulation, but the clunky controls ruined the experience. Playing this game on the PC is probably the way to go.

    Aquarist is a fine addition to the career simulator genre, although there are some optimisation issues on the Switch with some ill-fitted control problems and and fiddly mechanics. Behind these flaws though there is a casual, fun game that has a lot to offer.

    Aquarist is probably a really enjoyable game on PC. On Switch, its severe interface problems combined with a few technical issues makes it really difficult to just chill out and enjoy the simple pleasures of building the aquariums of your dreams and taking care of your fish. Nearly unreadable text, especially in handheld mode, combines with clumsy controls that were obviously designed for a mouse, and the result is very hard to recommend.

    Great game. Hopefully it will be updated soon to have some better optimisation for hand held.

    The game is poorly optimized for the Switch, apparently translation in French has been made by Google translate, some lines are not evenThe game is poorly optimized for the Switch, apparently translation in French has been made by Google translate, some lines are not even complete, moving items in the tank is almost impossible due to horrible game controls not optimized for pad, in handled mode you can barely see what's written on the screen so you have to randomly try every button to find the right one you should use. Game itself seems pretty decent but the poorly optimization make it almost impossible to play. I can't even understand why Nintendo let these poorly optimized game on it's catalog, even if they decided to offer discount at launch day this game is not worth the money.… Full Review »
