    The Switch is probably not the best place to experience the game – this was originally a PC title – but playing it handheld on the touchscreen is easy enough, and this is well worth investigating for those looking for something a little different.

    If you enjoy relaxing puzzle games, A Little to the Left is definitely worth checking out. I hope some of the control issues can be addressed in future updates.

    When it all clicks, A Little to the Left provides an experience that is a weird mingling of the semi-passive and viscerally intrusive. It is only the occasions when tiny touch targets cry out for a mouse pointer that the magic falls away. Once that happens, the plainer, less surprising puzzles aren’t able to carry the show on their own. As a piece, it can’t always sustain its best rhythm, but when it does, it's stimulating, quiet, and memorable.

The puzzles seem like 50/50 coin flip on whether they are legible. Many simply don't read well enough. You can shuffle the same objects around way too much looking for the solution. When it arrives, it sometimes doesn't make sense - a random looking out-of-order jumble. The hints system often doesn't help by lacking specificity, or if it does, you still don't know why the objects were arranged that way after executing the solution.     Satisfying and addictive. Well thought out puzzles. Some finicky controls on a few puzzles but nothing major.

I was hoping for a relaxing game like unpacking, but this is not it, you get very few of the levels in a row that are actually relaxing, others you have to use a hint almost every one because the game thinks you'll know right off the bat what to do, I know it may be made to be that way but it is more stressful than fun, if you want a truly relaxing puzzle game, go play Unpacking… Full Review »
