  • Summary: Multiplayer up to 8 players. Play as a gummy with up to 8 Friends online or in the couch. Easy to play, hard to master. You can sit down, smash all the buttons and have fun or... use the right move in each situation to take your opponents down.

Gummy’s Life is fun for the family but a little difficult to learn to play.

A Gummy’s Life is solid for what it is. It definitely feels like a game that belongs on the Switch, even more than it belongs on PC. The overall experience is great for younger players, but can be equally as fun as an option for family game night. Nice and juicy.

A Gummy's Life is a very enjoyable fighting game. Its technical section is not the best, but it is enough for what it was looking for: chaotic and fun matches.

The fun, however brief, is in the friendly couch competitions. That’s the only place a game like this can be enjoyed so that players can feed off each other’s excitement to bolster the experience. But, if your party is going to last much longer than an hour, you better ensure that you’re packing additional entertainment options when the thrill wears off.

A Gummy’s Life is a mixed bag of sweet and sour candies. Free for all mode is a fun experience but after an hour of play becomes stale unless you have friends around to play alongside you. Other modes merely feel like putting sprinkles on a muffin to make it a cupcake. It isn’t a horrible game – it doesn’t have any major flaws or anything; it is a game that is perfect for when you and some friends just want to have a taste of some good fighting game fun. Rag-dolling around, falling over, and tossing each other can lead to some funny, enjoyable experiences. But when isolated to the player and a few bots however, the charm is glazed over by all the flaws of the AI and the online availability issues.

A Gummy's Life is a simple game with a hook that fails to reel in the player base it needs. Still, the element of cross-play shouldn't be overlooked. Gummy diversity is lacking in terms of stats for each and the physics systems support that fact. The variety of stages is decent, but the vibrancy is overblown. However, with a group of friends either online or at home, there might be a quick laugh to be had from this silly little title.

A Gummy’s Life is frantic battling multiplayer action, but despite numerous game modes it all feels the same. It won’t keep you entertained for long.

At the beginning it's a little difficult to learn to control the gummies properly, but it makes it even funnier. Should have more recognition as the devs keep updating the game. Expand

I like the variety of courses, hopefully they add more. It's not as buggy as people say, but it's not as polished as gang beasts. My biggest problem is that you have to knock people out before you pick them up and throw them off the edge, but it's hard to pick them up. Also the cpu is way better at driving vehicles than you are even on easy mode, and it's impossible to pull them off. Perfect? No. Fun for 12 dollars on sale? Yes Expand

Unfortunately it's a buggy mess. The kids like it though. Just the crashing to a black screen is a pain
