I like it. HDR and 4K looks blurry. Game plays well tho. I enjoy it enough to finish it

I'm giving this score based on all the content available.

The base game is great, but has its definite flaws. A "Final Fantasy for everyone", which is meant to be inclusive to people who have never played a title before and for people who have played them all seems a bit odd considering all the games are unique in gameplay and story but whatever. The base game is great, but has its definite flaws. A "Final Fantasy for everyone", which is meant to be inclusive to people who have never played a title before and for people who have played them all seems a bit odd considering all the games are unique in gameplay and story but whatever. The aspects of other FF titles that I enjoyed have been pretty heavily degraded in this title. For example, one of the reasons I did not enjoy FF XIII 2 and 3 was the lack of playable characters. Here we have the ability to control Noctis and (to a far lesser extent) his three comrades. The real-time fight system is well implemented and provides some form of strategy to be implemented but for the most part I'd be fine going back to XIII's system. My biggest gripe is the Summons, so far and few between and with the FF XIV side-quest you seem to be stuck with the chance of summoning one over all of the others (you'll know when you get there).

Now, the story itself is great. One of my favorites provided you take the time to learn the world, its history, and explore the dungeon beside the volcano and understand the symbology present. So not really a great first-timer title in that sense. The levelling system, the additional upgrades and QoL items you receive as you go make the game enjoyable over the long time you'll be playing it. As well, the overhaul of Chapter 13 drastically improved the late-game of this title. Unlike other FF games you go from open-world to linear, instead of the other way, which does feel a bit like you were cheated.

Now, onto the DLC. Each comrade has their own side-story that helps to tie in what happens to them during the main story. They're fine overall but man.... if you want to get every achievement strap in for a long ride. Reminiscent of FF X's celestial weapon trial for Tidus these are difficult to obtain and require tons of replays to try and get it right. But my biggest gripe is with Comrades. This "multiplayer" mode which takes place during the main story, does not play well and requires a lot of planning with others. It's basically impossible to join others playing randomly and the AIs do not help much in the grand scheme of things. You also require a full party if you want certain achievements to unlock (two of them for sure), and the amount of grinding needed to get through it all mirrors timing equivalent to the base game itself.

I'd definitely recommend the base game to anyone who likes Final Fantasy but don't bother with anything more than the story for the DLCs and skip Comrades entirely unless you and a couple of friends want to play together.

Considering how bad FFXII and FFXIII were, this was a breath of fresh air with very different but recognisable gameplay. Love the bromances in this game too.

I love this game, but really wish it looked better on Stadia. If you have the option to play this on next-gen hardware or a gaming PC I would recommend those of Stadia (for the moment).

FFXV has a lot of content to entertain for weeks. Graphics is good. The quests have a lot of hack'n'slash type fighting, not much strategy. Child-friendly, and not scary like my Stadia favorites, the Tomb Raider series. FFXV works very well on Stadia, I have had almost no lag or crashes. The game itself has a nice athmosphere, and I will probably keep on playing it for a good while longer.

I've never been a huge Final Fantasy fan, and I must agree that the first words that show when you launch the game are completly true. Amazing story, great visuals and presentation, very engaging combat system once you figure out how to perfom combos and advanced moves and one a very comfy feeling overall. It adds a lot to the experience, specially if watched in order. Expand

It is not one the best Final Fantasy. It is not one the worst either. Just play it, enjoy it and forget it.
