Unbound Saga

Fans of the genre should already be accustomed to the repetition that comes along with mercilessly (and sometimes pointlessly) pounding thugs into the ground, stage after stage. Unbound Saga is no different, but it certainly does it well.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Boss fights are mundane affairs with no special mechanics, only larger health pools. [Oct 2009, p.82]
-
Unbound Saga looks like a great game, but the looks ain’t everything! Once you enter in its the comics-inspired world you soon realize that the nicely painted environments are too crammed and claustrophobic. After a few missions you also realize that the only variables in the gameplay are the enemies and the very environments.
-
Quotation forthcoming.
-
Old school beat'em up fans might be thrilled with the game's adherence to that genre's principles, but everyone else might be a bit let down by the sluggish controls and maddening hit boxes.
-
Boring gameplay and half-baked mechanics combine to create a title that is shallow even for a $15 downloadable game.
-
One brutally boring brawler.
-
The very definitely of wasted potential, Unbound Saga is quite simply a beat-'em-up where it's not fun to beat them up.
