AceGamezThere's enough variety and accessibility in here to appeal to football 'noobs', while the depth of the management and the addictive nature of the matches should satisfy anyone who's played Pro Evo and/or FIFA to death and is still thirsty for more.
-
Polished in almost every department, this is a well-rounded football sim with surprising depth, given the licence. Obsess!
-
As good as it was, the PSP’s UEFA has everything FIFA has and with the new Treble mode, way more fun in variety.
-
UEFA is an interesting and worthwhile addition to EA's growing library of soccer titles, thanks to its interesting mix of unique modes, quick-moving, fast-paced game, and its solid feel and reliable controls. The PSP connectivity adds another layer depth.
-
UEFA Champions League is a good game, but for 99% of the soccer fans in North America, FIFA is a far better choice.
-
The highlight of the game is definitely its Treble mode, and UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 is worth a look if you don’t have a soccer game in your PSP collection.
-
The story mode is ingenious, and it's shocking no simulation sports game in this era has taken this on until now. But the execution does have flaws.
-
UEFA Champions League is a good game, but it doesn't have the 360 version's card-collecting hook, and it's not much different from FIFA 07.
-
To analogize from another sport, UEFA is Anna Kournikova to "Wnning Eleven"'s Martina Hingis; one of them is knockout gorgeous with decent enough skills to hang around but never dominate, while the other may not be so easy on the eyes yet consistently wins championships.
-
You have the atrocious commentary which is worse than ever in this game.
-
Games Master UKIt's a bold and brash arcadey football game that's elevated from being completely forgettable by the quality full-licensed finish. [June 2007, p.85]
-
The Treble mode is an excellent touch that adds twists to the usual Manager mode. The visuals look solid for the system, but online play is a total mess and is probably not worth your time.
-
It's a solid enough effort, but it doesn't really feel fresh at all, online play doesn't work, and its appeal seems limited to only a certain number of Champions League fans - preferably ones who don't already have FIFA 07 - and that doesn't seem likely to comprise a large number of gamers.
-
Pure Magazine UKNothing but a money-making venture that fans should stay clear of. [May 2007, p.86]
