Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, despite being aimed at a squarely younger audience, is a very fun game despite its simplicity. It doesn’t have the depth of something like say, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, but should provide plenty of fun for those looking for a simple brawler with characters from the Spider-Man universe.

I loved Spider-Man: Friend or Foe on the console and the PSP offers a fun and challenging smaller scale version of that same game. While the overall game design is pretty much the same, the way the designers broke up the levels and made some subtle changes really created a unique experience, rather than simply rehashing what I had already done on the 360.
-
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe for the PSP is not a bad game for younger gamers but it does lack variety and challenging enemies to fight.
-
The problem is that the game is just too repetitive for its own good.
-
There are some interesting moves to pull off, and co-op play over an ad-hoc connection might be fun if someone else around actually bought this, but it's not enough to save this PSP port from mediocrity.

Playstation Official Magazine UKThe two-player co-op prevents total shame. [Jan 2008, p.114]
-
The game is obviously geared most toward the younger set, but even kids like a bit of challenge, right?
