It's humourless, but functional and quite fun. [Issue#190, p.76]
  2. Single players won‘t have much fun with its non-existent tactical depth, while fans of online gameplay will enjoy everlasting hours of joy. A dull solo campaign, but long-lasting experience on the net await you – if you like to play war with friends, get it.

If only the missions required a bit more intuitive thinking from the player, this could be a stellar PSP title. As is, make sure you’ve played both the excellent Syphon Filters before opting for the lesser option that Fireteam Bravo 3 sadly is.

SOCOM is not dead yet! Lots of action and smooth graphics, easy controls and rich multiplayer options make Fireteam Bravo 3 worth trying. [Issue#189]

It's enjoyable but too casual to really shine. [Apr 2010, p.113]

The moments where teamwork is highlighted are the best moments in the game. It is curious why those weren't capitalized on more throughout. Even the co-op is compromised from FTB3 being designed with grander battles in mind.
  7. SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 has surprisingly managed to keep alive the essence of this franchise.
  8. One of the best online experiences so far on the PSP is watered down by a poor and very short story mode, lack of new features and the absence of a convincing story.
  9. The story has to be taken with a healthy helping of salt; it's unintentionally tongue and cheek. You could skip the cinematics and be no worse off - something I've never recommended before.
  10. If you don’t have access to PlayStation Network or you have no one to play it with, Fireteam Bravo 3 is a waste of money. The game’s single-player campaign reminds of age-old Spec Ops and Conflict series and is basically a complimentary bonus to the multiplayer mode. And the latter is a solid contender for the title of “portable Counter-Strike”.
  11. It’s a quality game, I just felt like I’ve been here before. If you’re new to the SOCOM experience, by all means give it a whirl.
  12. While I found the single-player campaign to be extremely lacking and short, the multiplayer component of FB3 helps to salvage this package by providing a replayable and enjoyable experience.
  13. Fireteam Bravo 3 has the makings of a rewarding shooter, but it lacks the freshness and tactical depth that made its predecessors so engaging.
  14. SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 offers easy fun in a short single player campaign. However, the clunky controls and the overpowered A.I.-driven teammates do hamper the experience. The multiplayer mode is solid and extensive.
  15. It's not the backward step of the PS3 version, but this tactical shooter still lacks real advancement.
  16. An improvement over Fireteam Bravo 2, but not exactly groundbreaking.
  17. If you are a fan of the series on the PSP then you should definitely pick it up because it is more of the same, but if not then stay away.
  18. If there’s a single word I’d label Fireteam Bravo 3 with, it’s filler.
  19. Boomtown

It isn’t the most exciting game in the world and it offers nothing new but the excellent multiplayer options help it to stand out as a PSP title.

However, even on the hardest difficulty, the game can be too easy...unless you make your own rules to add some challenge. The way I play single player story mode, is I make it a mandatory goal to complete my missions with 0 seal revivals. This way, I cant just send my team to kill everyone for me; I actually have to make the best use of them without getting them gunned down. Custom missions sound like an added bonus, but contrary to what one might think, the replay value here is almost non existent. Multiplayer was the main appeal of this game, but unfortunately the servers have been taken down since September 2012. A lot of folks claim that the campaign mode was too short, but with the challenging way I was playing it, it took me about 6 to 7 hours to finish on average. Full Review »

Fun, with a modicum of re-playability. The campaign isn't anything like long, and though I was a bit disappointed when I finished the game, IFun, with a modicum of re-playability. The campaign isn't anything like long, and though I was a bit disappointed when I finished the game, I shrugged my shoulders, and continued to play through every level until Admiral, and the final battle exhausted my interest. The game looks a hell of a lot better than it used to, and team you are given aren't as stupid as in previous games. Full Review »
