FPS games don't belong on the PSP. It also makes for a terrible experience once you then bring it over to the PS3. Who uses Triangle, Circle, X, and Square in place of the right analog stick's usual purpose? They should've changed the coding for the PS3 port a little so the player can actually LOOK AROUND without it feeling like tank controls. Porting a game to different systems is always risky, but in N.O.V.A. it has also proven a bad choice: poor graphics, irritating control scheme and void appeal. Unless you really want to waste your money look elsewhere.

The controls...feel counter-intuitive at first and mean that most of your success is thanks to a very forgiving auto aim rather than sharp shooting. [Spring 2011, p.113]

It's a fairly basic FPS that's far too fiddly for its own good. [Issue#202, p.96]
