The PSP version still holds its own with a good portable game of baseball that may not be great for quick portable action, but anytime you’re able to just sit down and be able to play for a while, MLB 09 fits that style of play very well.

While the Show on the PSP is still an engaging and enjoyable game, it's not as much of a must have as it has been in previous years. Some of the changes feel like they weaken elements of the game, like those made to the fielding, while many of the older issues, like the camera problems, haven't been addressed in at least two years.

MLB 09 The Show remains the definitive handheld baseball experience, a startlingly deep and expansive take on America’s Pastime that offers more hardball than most of us could likely get to in a full season.
