Play UKFeb 20, 2011Has the looks, the controls and the missions to keep you coming back. Good alone, better with friends and a real tough nut. [Issue#202, p.88]

Mar 8, 2011Gods Eater Burst represents a truly good debut for Namco Bandai. An entertaining combat system, a deep customization of various aspects such equipment, clothes, bullets and much more makes the game a paradise for action RPG fans. Despite the atrocious analog stick and some bad camera movements, we believe that a sequel on the PSP 2 would be something to wait for.

Apr 11, 2011Gods Eater Burst provides a compelling adventure game with a mountain of content, great graphics and online multiplayer support. Namco goes toe-to-toe with the Monster Hunter franchise and, at least from my perspective, wins.
-
Mar 28, 2011The alternative to Monster Hunter. In this game you're a God Eater and your mission is to fight the many, many monsters in this game with a few others. The gameplay is good and the variety is great - only the camera can be sometimes pretty annoying.
-
Mar 24, 2011The first Monster Hunter ripoff, Lord of Arcana, wasn't a complete disaster, but it wasn't a good game, either. Gods Eater Burst is a much more competent game, one that takes some of what made Monster Hunter so engaging and even adds some new stuff to up the ante.

Playstation Official Magazine UKMar 24, 2011Has enough meat on its bones to feed the most voracious action fans. [Apr 2011, p.109]
-
Mar 22, 2011If you're a Monster Hunter fan, Gods Eater offers more of the same, but with enough trimmings to still be fresh beyond the futuristic setting. If those appeal to you, it's definitely worth playing. Alternately, if Monster Hunter attracted you in the past but maybe let you down, I'd still say to give Gods Eater a try.
-
Sep 26, 2011Monster Hunter is a good concept to copy, and Namco has topped it off with a great projectile editor. Buy, don't just try, to experience the full depth of the play experience.
-
May 10, 2011Namco Bandai's response to the overwhelming power of Monster Hunter is certainly worth of attention, as Gods Eater Burst delivers a compelling story, plenty of items and weapons and one hundred missions in which you'll fight against some enormous creatures using your shape-shifting weapon. The game is fun and engaging, but suffers from cumbersome controls due to the lack of a second analog stick, that forces you to move the camera using the d-pad.
-
Aug 1, 2011Gods Eater Burst makes for a nice alternative if you've either gotten tired of the Monster Hunter aesthetic or were interested in this subgenre without a medieval setting.
-
Mar 28, 2011This is an interesting game, especially in the single-player mode, but it has some problems which should be solved in future revisions.
-
Mar 18, 2011For all those Monster Hunter friendly fans out there, God Eater represents one of the best choises to make nowadays if willing to play some hunt-and-roll style. Its pretty difficil not to fall under 'Burst' enchants, although the control mechanics fails from time to time. If you aren't looking for an intriguing story, this is the best choice to make. Pure fun.
-
Feb 28, 2011It comes with a few annoyances, but Gods Eater Burst's monster hunting is enjoyable enough to differentiate itself from the crowd.
