    The game is addicting, however the slow pace makes it a painful experience.

    Not the most polished experience, but if you have the patience, and enjoy a lot of empire building, this game's for you. Unfortunately, combat is a bit lame. Set it up, let it run, pop in every few minutes to tap a special move or a skill. It's sometimes frustrating when an enemy pantses your first army due to an environmental condition beyond your control, but almost always, a powerful commander can 'even the field' with a few well placed specials. If you're not searching for something to absorb some time, don't bother with this one though, since you'll spend your first week or two trying to figure out what all the crap in the dozen or so menus and such do.… Expand

    Utterly baffling game, although with patience and time (lots and lots of both) you can figure it out. Also steeped heavily in what I call "classically annoying Anime thematics." Try before buying, I suggest.

    Here's the major problem: You're only allowed to control the main commander during the skirmishes. When you're not issuing seemingly useless orders to your head honcho, you're forced to sit and watch your nameless grunts swing wildly until they eventually hit something (the enemy, if you're lucky).

    What little action there is to see is so far out of your controllable scope that you'll watch the battles simply to delude yourself into thinking there is something worth watching in the game.
