Final Fantasy IV celebrates his 20th birthday with this gorgeous collection, that includes a "new look version" of the original game, The After Years sequel, a new section called Interlude and a lot of bonus materials that will drive you crazy.

There has never been a better time to jump on the FFIV bandwagon. The extras and lower price point more than justifies the content and quality in this collection. More added value is included with the purchase of the game as it ships with a download code for Dissidia 012: Duodecim (a new skin for Cecil) and character cards. Fans and newcomers should eat this one up.

Overall, Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is a solid package, especially with an MSRP of $29.99. Even though it isn't the definitive version of the game, it is a solid way into the franchise and the best way to experience The After Years.

Final Fantasy IV's latest collection is very much what the name says - a compilation of every chapter seen so far, including the original storyline and also The After Years. There's a cheap Interlude that last for three of four hours and a couple artworks that just make it. It's the 'definitive' collection, and thus the better choise to pick for those willing to enjoy the real JRPG essence.

If you've somehow managed to overlook Final Fantasy IV over its numerous incarnations, this is the best way to get the whole experience. Though not every facet is airtight, The Complete Collection is an addictive mix of traditional RPG mechanics, character-focused narrative, and pure nostalgia.

Final Fantasy IV was a game I thoroughly enjoyed as it brought back many fond memories I had of playing the game on the PSone and the DS. Not much has changed but for fans who have held out or sat on the fence about giving it a try, this game is the only FFIV game you'll need for good ol' Final Fantasy nostalgia.

For those that haven't played the game before, then Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is a fantastic package that contains one of the greatest RPGs to grace the Super Nintendo and its two not-as-great sequels.

FFIV on PSP is a delicious remake with tons of options. Too bad the character design is meh.

FFIV stands completely on its own so if you look at it as a PSP release of one of the greatest RPGs with some extra bonus content thrown in, it's an easy sell.

That said, FFIV is still one of the best RPGs of all time, and if you STILL haven't played it and don't own a DS, now is your chance. Even without the graphical update, the greatness of the game shines through and is one of those that everyone should play before they die.

The Interlude isn't anything to get excited about, and while the main game is certainly the same as what we've been playing for years, combining it with The After Years in a package with some nicely upgraded visuals is enough to get me on board.

A classic rpg well worth your time, but the new additions in this collection isn't really necessary.

While there are issues, the nostalgic feel that exudes from this collection is nothing to find fault with, as it perfectly serves its intended purpose of being a retro collection. If paying for Final Fantasy IV again isn't enough and the fan service-filled After Years holds no appeal, then pass on this. If you loved Final Fantasy IV back in the 90s and are looking to relive that experience along with some new content, then Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection might just be a good fit for you.

Still one of the series' most influential and enduring entries, but this latest repackaging offers very little that is new to celebrate it.

FFIV is great! But it's also well-trodden territory at this point, presented in a technologically unambitious and aesthetically questionable package. The problem with this collection isn't that it lacks anything new, but rather that the new content feels like a pale imitation of the masterpiece it follows.

As a historical piece, it is practically unparalleled. As a modern game, it is rife with issues that would never be tolerated. In the end, it is a great addition for fans and collectors, but of very little value to new gamers.

Final Fantasy IV is probabily the best episode ever created, but this edition, despite its name, is far from being "complete".

Like every other remake of Final Fantasy IV, the Complete Collection has its share of quirks. But ultimately, the quality of the 20-year-old original shines through.
