There are enough countries, enough modes and good enough graphics and sound to make you forget you’re playing a handheld, and the controls should feel very natural (especially if you played on the PS2).
-
Taking a page from the Winning Eleven games, 2006 FIFA World Cup feels slightly like a realistic soccer simulator without losing its arcade game style, giving gamers the best of both worlds.
-
Faithful to its console counterparts in almost every way, and while the game isn't without a few quirks, there's plenty of enjoyable, fast-paced soccer to be had here.
-
When it comes to soccer on the PSP it's either this or World Tour Soccer 06. Only 2006 FIFA World Cup manages to capture all of that magic and recreate the pageantry of the World Cup better than any World Cup game before it, and it puts it in the palm of your hand.
-
Games Master UKA stellar kickabout, but lacks that razzmatazz that made the other versions so memorable. [July 2006, p.66]
-
PSM MagazineThe gameplay is tight and entertaining, working perfectly with the anallog control, and rewards quick passing, through balls, and low shots on the goal. [Sep 2006, p.87]
-
With PSP PES proving just a tad disappointing, this was the perfect opportunity for FIFA to mount a serious challenge. While the commentary and visuals are fantastic, the gameplay is far too shallow and imprecise to please those who take their digital football seriously.

RicardoK.May 22, 2006The game is quite ok and the visual is much improved than Fifa 06. Should include the countries stadium involved in the World Cup.
