This is quite possibly one of the greatest games of all time, it changed my life. When my grandmother was dying in the hospital from cancer I told her to play this game so that she could at least experience one last joy on this earth. Literally one day later she is well enough to leave the hospital and her cancer is now in remission. When my grandmother was dying in the hospital from cancer I told her to play this game so that she could at least experience one last joy on this earth. Literally one day later she is well enough to leave the hospital and her cancer is now in remission. If this game hadn't existed my grandmother would be dead right now. Also when I have something stuck in my head from school, I just play this game and my brain erased the memory I had that won't go away. Also, my hair grew back, my mortgage was payed off, my penis grew 2 inches, my dead dog came back, and my wife came back to me! If this game never existed, none of this would have happened. Thank you DJ MAX PORTABLE 3! Expand

This installment was the sole inspiration for Konami's later released Sound Voltex series.
While a great game with varied OST, its progression system is what makes you grind your teeth at times. To unlock content you have to earn exp. points. Perhaps, way too many exp. point to the point where you would essentially want to use cheats to unlock more content early and it's understandable.

Other than that, it's a visual and sound treat for all rhythm game lovers.

It's important that I point out that the core gameplay here is fun. The music is varied and includes techno, pop, and smooth, simple beats.
